hi. So im a first year mathematics student, aged 19 going into year 2 in september.

Exhibit A: Financial issues. Throughought Term 2 of my course, I struggled heavily with money (and hence rent and food, and found myself often lacking energy needed to show up to lectures). This is helped slightly by student finance, but it only helped so much during the year. over summer with no support, and a multiple week gap between the first student finance payment and rent-pay days of virtually any accommodation in my city, the situation only gets worse and less likely that I'd be able to find somewhere to live by the start of term 2. 

Exhibit B: Employment. I want to preface this point with saying I've never worked, due to never needing to until coming to university, however I did volunteer in high school. That said, searching for any kind of income has proven utterly impossible. Anyone I know (all are indian postgraduates due to the accomodation i live in) has lied on their CV to get the most basic part-time jobs in existence, yet I apply for months and get one interview, (after which I was ghosted, despite putting so much effort in to learn store policies, dress smartly, etc.). I frequently get likely-AI-made rejection emails from any company I apply to, no matter the industry or location. 

Exhibit C: Familial support. I come from a very impoverished seaside town in north west england (yes, it is the one you are thinking of), so my family is globally broke and poor. I couldn't ask for more than £100 from anyone without putting them into a vulnerable position too.

My attitude is usually optimistic, but these last few months of applying and realising that each coming day is pushing me closer to my inevitable unveiling as a failure, so I did my research, and found a couple of options I may have

Option A: Give up. simple as that. Fairly straight forward last resort scenario, say goodbye to friends and family and give up on life.

Option B: Apply for a year pause in university to interrupt the massive costs of rent, food, and force myself to give up any dignity I have to move in with one of my sisters. 

Option C: Start aggressively (and I do mean, aggressively) lying on my CV in the hopes I get any kind of job that will take me, however in mid-July I'm not even sure that's enough to help my situation. 

I'm not going to act like I'm entitled to anything. I know this situation is roughly 99% my fault, but it is very easy saying that in hindsight. Any advice from the god of universities is appreciated.

Hi, i'm writing a novel for fun which involves three unique power systems. one is magic/spells, one is mutation/hybrids, and the last is superpowers.

I have an MC who has the ability to summon unique weapons made of energy. the rules are as follows:

Since the weapons are made of energy, they are unbreakable

MC can only have one weapon active at any time

when a weapon isnt active/summoned, it doesnt exist

each weapon has a blessing and a curse attached to it. the blessing is something bonus that the weapon can do, and the curse is something that makes the weapon more difficult to use or makes it have less usefulness in certain scenarios, hence making a different weapon more useful

MC has 4 weapons to choose from. a katana, a shotgun, a pair of knuckle-dusters and im indecided on the last. it should be different enoigh to the rest to have its own uses.

the main point of posting is to get ideas of blessings and cirses for ewch weapon. to start it off, i thought of the knuckle-dusters giving MC a massive strength boost so his punches go harder, but with the curse that he cant switch weapons until someone gets knocked out by them (kinda like how kite's ability works in hunter X hunter).

can anyone give me creative ideas?

So, i am writing for fun, a medium-length superhero/fantasy story to pass time. i have set up world building and i'm close to getting to the introduction of superpowers that the MC hides from his friend, but has to use to survive an encounter. the basic idea i have is a combination of a "blessed curse" ability and a "weapon summon" ability. i need his power to be as strong as other powers seen, but i dont know how to explain why a 17 year old good with so many weapons, and im not sure what the blessings should be. i have one weapon im quite proud of which is:

Knockout Knuckles: A pair of golden knuckle-dusters that grant the user a significant strength boost while punching, however this weapon cannot be dismissed until it has been used to Knock Out or K*ll an enemy.

all weapons are made of a golden energy (his weapon power comes from his golden eye) and cant be destroyed/broken. i dont know how many weapons he should have, nor what blessings they should have to make it unique. im fine with giving him guns/swords as the power system is scaled up to favour defense alot more than attack, so most enemies will have very high defense.

for reference, the general power-scaling is less than street level, with defensive powers being way stronger than offensive. the final enemy in the story is a king with near invupnerability as a power (all damage he receives is decreased by 99%, so things that would kill someone barely bruise him), whereas an assassin character has a very tedious bomb ability that takes 15 minutes to secure a k*ll

Hi, i'm looking for an anime i gave up on watching a year or so ago. the basic plot follows a teen boy who is the leader of a group who made a video-game. he has a love interest/rival who ends up as the VA for the game, his teacher who looks strict is actually the artist and he has an online friend who does something and also he is forced into a fake relationship with a girl, by her father, as part of an agreement that the boy can get his game published by the man's game company. i've looked on google and by all counts, this show doesn't seem to exist, so any help is appreciated.
