Shokz replacement

As Shokz support has unfortunately let me down I'm looking for an affordable alternative for my work commute and long runs. My biggest pro with Shokz is that I can hear my surroundings. Are there some affordable alternatives available? Doing a good Google Search doesn't bring me much unfortunately.

Experience with Shokz support

How is everyone's general experience with Shokz support? I would like to share mine to see if I'm being picky or if support really is a bit sub-par/weird.

Recently all of a sudden my Shokz OpenRun stopped working on 1 side. No fix in sight and as Shokz themselves say it cannot be repaired since the technology is complex.

I contacted support, unfortunately my warranty expired just a couple of months earlier. Support noted that this problem is not something that should happen, and even though my warranty expired they expect their headphones to last longer. That being said, all they wanted to offer me was a discount on the newer Open Run Pro 2 of 15%, and they said I had 1 week to decide if I wanted to use this one-time only discount. Using this discount I would still pay above retail price, so I noted that to support. After a few back-and-forths I got a higher discount, but still nowhere near an offer which would warrant buying now and not waiting till there's a discount with a retailer. After that they said they could do nothing more.

I was really hoping Shokz would be more supportive, especially after noting themselves this defect should not have occured. Is this a common experience with support?
