How to trip and still shoot D

Besides almost tripping and eating shit I know it could have been done way faster. Pretty fun little course.

Grip advice

So I’m still getting used to the M9 and I have a habit of hanging my non-dominant thumb out in the wind. Also, after watching this several times I’m not super happy with my recoil control. Anyone have experience with the M9 platform? Any tips to correct what you’re seeing?

The title is half me being a smart ass but it’s pretty close to how I feel. It was the end of my second stage and I was clearing my pistol. Being the cool guy that I am I ejected the live round and caught it.

In the process of this, I flagged my own hand and the RO hit me with the instant DQ. I’m not mad, I did it and I own it, but it’s just embarrassing.

Aside from just being more mindful how do you deal with being DQ’d? Is it just something that will happen sooner or later?
