Passed this thing on my way into town, hadn’t seen it before. Stopped and checked it out on the way home and knew I had to grab it. Another young fella rolled up right after I shook the guys hand and said he had been thinking about it all day at work, I kind of felt bad.

1985 El Camino, good ol’ Chevy 350 with a 4 barrel, rebuilt turbo 350 trans with a Hurst “his and hers” shift kit, 3.73 gears and positraction for good times. My VB WRX just doesn’t scratch that itch.

Going to do all fluids and give her a much needed spa day and see what secrets I find.

Hopefully this will take the temptations of adding go-fast parts and tuning the WRX. Now I can confidently say it is my daily driver.

24 WRX to 25 Legacy, having WRX withdrawals but we will make it through!

Only kidding, for the most part. Going on 11 days without my VB, currently getting one (yes, just one) head gasket replaced. Definitely miss the WRX but have to admit, the comfort and fuel economy of the legacy are wonderful. Just can’t seem to locate the clutch pedal. I’m sure if the legacy was similarly optioned I wouldn’t complain, but the lack of sun roof and HK sound system are getting to me.

Grille, front bumper cover(s), and duck bill are all from MSP. Not going to do the rear bumper cover, seems a little tacky and don’t want to cut anything. Still not sure if I love the bumper cover. Thinking I might get rid of the vortex generator and do the roof spoiler but don’t want to do too much. Or have I gone overboard already?
