A quiet search for something real

A quiet search for something real.

Perhaps this is an unusual thing to write on Reddit, but lately I have been thinking about companionship—not the kind that exists merely to fill an empty space, but the kind that makes an already ordinary life feel a little less ordinary.

I think there is something rare about finding a person with whom conversation feels effortless; someone with whom silence does not need to be explained. Someone to share unremarkable evenings with, wandering through familiar streets, talking about everything and nothing, slowly becoming familiar with each other's worlds.

I’m 23, from Dharan, and currently studying Engineering. At this stage of life, I find myself less interested in fleeting encounters and more drawn toward sincerity, curiosity, kindness, and the quiet depth of a genuine connection.

I am not searching for an idealized version of love, nor do I expect some cinematic beginning. Real life is far less polished than that—and perhaps all the more beautiful for it.

I would simply like to meet a girl from Dharan who is open to knowing someone beyond the usual introductions and small talk. We could begin as strangers, become acquaintances, perhaps friends, and if life happens to be kind to us, perhaps something more.

There is no grand expectation behind this post.

Just a small hope that somewhere in this city, there might be someone who is also wondering what it would be like to find a person worth staying up late to talk to.

If that thought speaks to you, my messages are open.

Perhaps we can begin with a hello.

Hello seniors,

I'm currently a 7th-semester Mechanical Engineering student. So far, I've maintained a good academic record, which is approximately equivalent to a 2.4 GPA on the German grading scale.

I recently learned that it's possible to apply to German universities for a master's degree even before completing a bachelor's degree. My dream is to pursue a Master's in Automobile Engineering in Germany.

The problem is that I have very little knowledge about the application process. I don't know where to start, what documents are required, when to apply, or how to improve my chances of getting admitted.

I would really appreciate it if seniors or anyone who has gone through this process could guide me. Any advice, resources, or personal experiences would mean a lot.

Thank you!
