Weekly Party Discussion 5 - 7 June 2026

This sub has passed the 20k members mark! I remember we were hyped when we passed a 100, haha. Anyway, here are some of my recommendations for this week.

Friday

Club Fatale @ Raum
A club night that kicks off early with a cabaret show. “Expect glitz, glamour, comedy and an abundance of talent” lol. The DJ to watch here is David Vink, not because of his mixing skills, but because he simply knows how to build a party with euphoric selections.

Tresor Berlin @ Radion
Spending a summer night in Radion is usually one of the last things on my list due to the complete lack of chill daylight and fresh air, but with Steve Bicknell coming through, I had to include it in this list. A safe bet for heavy & straightforward techno.

TillaDecks @ Tilla
Some of the people working in the clubs are taking over Tilla Tec. Not from behind the scenes this time, but from behind the booth. Includes a communal dinner beforehand. Thumbs up for the hard working people that keep the clubs running!

Batería @ Export Rotterdam
The music can best be described by combining a South American country with a leftfield genre: Latin experimental, Brazilian funk, and so on.

Saturday

Disturbia @ Tilla Tec
Years ago, when we were forced to watch depressing livestreams instead of dancing in (legal) clubs, I came across Terence Fixmer and Phase Fatale on an Arte stream, and it was MEGA. A recent Instagram snippet of Terence fucking around with his Octatrack sounded very promising too, so I think people are in for a treat with his live set.

Interfering Grounds x Nous'Klaer Audio @ Raum
Raum is split into an ambient room and a club room for this event. Hervé, part of Interfering Grounds, is an excellent and refreshing house DJ. His biggest booking so far was closing Draaimolen, check his SoundCloud. And don’t forget to sneak off to the listening room for a joint/spliff/baap/jonko while Leen is playing. I recently caught her for a three hour set in a very intimate setting and it was absolutely terrific.

Noclubs @ Garage Noord
A weekender at Garage featuring Vlada, Tammo Hesselink, PLO Man, Oceanic, Konduku, and more.

pos 3 yrs @ pos studios
pos is celebrating its third anniversary with two events this weekend. The program extends beyond music, including art and food. Want to know more about what pos is all about? Check out this very nice article, worth reading even if you already have other plans this weekend.

The Crave After @ Laak (The Hague)
The Crave Festival brings plenty of big names to The Hague this weekend, and several artists continue at Laak: Spekki Webu, Darwin, Valody, Locus Error (tip!), and more.

PAX @ Basis Utrecht
Expect a Berghain floor kind of sound throughout the night. Normally things wrap up around 06:30, but this one will push until at least 08:00. Basis becomes a wonderfully dark little bunker on nights like this, with the emphasis very much on dark. Think of it as Radion’s little sister for those who haven’t been. The downside: it’s right in the city center, and despite a stricter door policy during PAX, there’s a slightly higher chance of a less dedicated crowd.

IsBurning @ NAR Utrecht
I may be repeating myself, but NAR is an absolute gem in Utrecht during the summer. This weekend they’re hosting their first ever 30+ hour event, with an unannounced lineup. I sincerely hope the sun comes out, because if it does, this is absolutely the place to be for a weekender. If it ends up pouring rain instead, you can always cycle on to what might be the better Saturday-night option:

Fluid @ WAS. Utrecht
A house focused edition of the best queer party in the best sounding club in Utrecht. Maybe even in the Netherlands?

Sunday

Moon Sessions @ Noordspace
A listening session focused on downtempo, dub, and ambient music, with food available as well. “Following the cycles of the moon, these gatherings unfold in quarterly chapters throughout the year, mirroring nature’s pulse.”

IsBurning Utrecht, pos 3 yrs, and Noclubs all continue into Sunday.

Brr brr brr at Melkweg. Get there ON TIME for Lula Luna’s opening set; even as someone who normally leans more towards techno, I can absolutely appreciate her dubby selections, and I think she’ll deliver some seriously deep frequencies on that Krackfree sound system.

Stereolube @ Tilla Tec

We’re staying on the bass heavy side of the spectrum for a bit longer: Stereolube at Tilla Tec. They are bringing their own sound system as well. About artist lis: “Her biggest work-passion is building FLINTA safe spaces, and deconstructing dancefloors”.

100% Excellent storytelling through music for the entire night. An online musical bibliography that’s just as versatile as his sets!

Dag van de Arbeid @ Paradiso

A funny concept at Paradiso: with a persuasive campaign, workers are being welcomed in for the mighty price of just €1, seeing as this Friday is Dag van de Arbeid (Labour Day). “An activist response to the ever rising cost of club culture.” And for that single euro, you actually get seriously good artists: Hashashin, Joya Astou, Mila Haj Kasem. I’m curious what kind of crowd will show up at Paradiso on a Friday night for a €1 techno party though.

Samuel Deep @ NAR (Utrecht)

SlapFunk Records master Samuel Deep: Expect house/garage leaning toward the darker, more monotonous side in comparison with other NAR nights.

Saturday

Patio @ Lofi

All Lofi floors open, with the focus mainly on techno, including names we don’t often get to see in the Netherlands like Function. Check his Reclaim Your City podcast and Bassiani podcast, and you’ll have a proper 9 hour workday. In my opinion, the other two headliners already kick things off early and are quite contrasting in style: Stojche with super clean vinyl mixing at 16:00 and Zisko with a percussive live set at 18:00.

Voices for Feminism @ Radion

This edition raises money for the international women’s fund Mama Cash. The artists on the lineup will donate their full fee. Personally, I’d be most excited for Serti b2b Jephta. Definitely check Jephta’s Het Weekend set at De School.

Kangding Ray @ Raum

For everyone who has seen the film Sirat, I highly recommend Thom Traxx’s Awakenings podcast. I fucking LOVE the way he mixes that film’s soundtrack into the set: It does the track justice PERFECTLY! The creator of that film music will be playing in the Expo tonight. And for those interested, there’s also a kinky workshop on personal boundaries beforehand.

Daycare Weekender @ BRET

Starting Saturday and running until Monday morning. First highlight: the Lady Machine from 00:00 to 03:00. And for the early birds: the real peak of this party will probably be Sunday morning from 07:00 to 12:00, when Benny Rodrigues (as ROD) goes b2b with Tafkamp. Unreal dutch combo! 5 hours!

Benny Rodrigues b2b Carista @ WAS (Utrecht)

These two closed Draaimolen’s Strobe stage in 2025 with an absolute banger of a set. Both are key figures of the Dutch house scene. Pro tip: first enjoy the daghap on the terrace at de Nijverheid, then walk over to the WAS. The party goes on until 02:00. Perfect timing to still head toward your family on Sunday morning looking relatively fresh.

Daycare @ BRET still going strong

Piuma @ Radio Radio

Piuma’s previous event hosted Tauceti at Noordwaards as an afterparty for Easter weekend. This time, among others, Human Space Machine and Bas Dobbelaer will be playing at Radio Radio for a daytime event. I can already see the perfect combo ahead: wake up early for ROD b2b Tafkamp at BRET, then head to Radio Radio.

Most Difficult Party Name in the World @ Garage Noord

Pvssy Akelarre: ASKAPEN BAXUA. After 4 try's I used ctrl + C. Besides music there will be more things to do and look: market & performances. And: It's freaking DARWIN in Garage. Raum just announced she will be in that club as well by the way, in June.
