This makes me sick.

This makes me sick.

I sent my fiancé this picture about a year ago. I keep seeing it pop up in my memories this year and it makes me so sad. I haven’t been a driver but two-three years. So I’m sure a lot of people remember it lower. Two dollars within a year!!!

Gestational diabetes?

28yr old/ 185pounds/ 5’4”/ 18 weeks pregnant/ thyroidectomy in 2025

This is my 4th pregnancy and none of my others felt so physically miserable. My body hurts so bad. In between my shoulders by my spine is a raging pain that won’t go away. I sleep constantly. Well over what I probably should. And when I’m not asleep I’m exhausted still. I was diagnosed with extreme morning sickness at the beginning of my pregnancy. It put me in the hospital 3 times. The vomiting has eased up but I still get what I would consider morning sickness almost every morning. I take zofran to manage. But still have nausea through the day. I make sure to snack and eat at least one large meal a day and drink ensure to make up the missed nutrients. But i have lost 19 pounds since April (around conception). My doctors don’t seemed concerned about it and when I bring it up they just test my thyroid levels, which always come back normal. This is my first baby without a thyroid so I’m not sure if this is normal or not. I know the baby requires a lot my thyroid isn’t making anymore. I take levothyroxine 150mcg to manage. I take it 2 times on Saturdays for the baby as told to by my doctor. I’m visibly looking smaller and I know that’s not good for the baby and I’m concerned.

Edit to mention more about why I think it’s gestational diabetes: I had oral thrush not very long ago. At urgent care while being diagnosed she mentioned the weight loss and thrush could be early signs of diabetes in pregnancy and to follow up with my prenatal doctor about it (who again showed no concerns about it and said we’d test at 24 weeks).

I’ve become the neighborhood cat lady

It started with the white one. Now I’m outside feeding multiple cats multiple times a day. They usually come in 2’s and I sit out there to watch them to make sure they don’t fight over the food and give them pets. Some are far more friendly than the others. I would like to trap and release some back into the neighborhood before this becomes a bigger cat problem. I haven’t noticed many females but a few come around from time to time. These two are the sweetest so far and best with other cats. I’d like to take them in but wanted to make sure someone wasn’t missing them before I did. I lost my cat a few months ago and still look for him everyday in hopes he’ll be posted somewhere.

How do I find out whose Google voice number is.

They knew my name (which is what’s blacked out) and that I was pregnant even though I’m not that far and barely anyone knows that I am yet. All I can find on it is that it’s a Google voice number though.

What is this. Urgent care was unsure

28y.o./ 5ft 4inches/ 190 pounds/ 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant

What is this. I’m so concerned I’m gonna pass it to one of my children or how it could affect me and my pregnancy. I went to urgent care today and they said they really weren’t sure. They said it looked like strep throat but could also be thrush. They didn’t want to prescribe me an antibiotic for it and asked me to talk to my obgyn about it tomorrow when they open. They did however take a culture and I’m waiting a call for those results. It’s only one side and the only part that hurts is the tonsil part. The white patches do not go away when wiped with a q-tip. I’m so worried about it and emotional that no one knows what it is. I wanna get on something if I need it asap so I don’t pass it around to my family.

Is this strep throat

Sorry the picture quality is so poor. I woke up yesterday with a pain in my throat. By mid-day it was become painful to swallow. I looked in my mouth and this is what it looked like. It’s so swollen on the tonsil and there’s white patches at the back of the swelling. This is the picture I took yesterday. I poked around with a toothpick to make sure there wasn’t a stuck tonsil stone and it didn’t seem so. I poked at the white spots a little and they just bled a little but did not go away.
I remember strep being very painful as a child. I haven’t had it in a long time. But this is not the pain I recall. It’s only one sided and when I swallow that it really bothers me. Today the swelling is down a bit. I gargled salt water the night before in hopes it helped. It’s still sort of swollen though, the patches are still there, and it still hurts to swallow. But it still doesn’t hurt like strep throat. And it didn’t spread any through the night. But today I’m running a low fever of 100.6.
I have 3 children. I’m nervous I’m gonna spread it to my children whatever it is. I’m also 13 weeks pregnant so I don’t want it to be something that harms me or the baby.

Kids parks and free activities

It’s probably already has been talked about considering its mid summer break. But what are your favorite parks in the area or free activities to do with your kiddos. I’m starting to run out of places to take mine.

How to safely introduce my 7 year old to foraging

I showed my kids what mulberry’s are. I’m not a forager myself and only knew what the berries were because I had a tree in my front yard of my childhood home that we’d eat them from. Now he wants to eat all the berries he comes across. I don’t know much about wild berry’s. He went to eat a wild strawberry from the yard the other day (we have a strawberry plant so he felt it was the same deal). I had to stop him because this is something I’ve both been told are poisonous but I’ve also been told they’re not.
Where do I start with this. My biggest fear is he’ll eat something he really shouldn’t and be ill or die.
