Zotac 1080ti mini, Shorted 12V rail
i recently got many faulty cards for real cheap, my profession is actually electronics (and BD) so i have the background knowledge and needed soldering equipment
anyway, when i got the card i cleaned it and measured short on the 12v rail to GND, i found that a MOSFET shorted (QM3816N: https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/1116495/UPI/QM3816N6.html)
i repalced the burned mosfet with another one from another mini i got (which had a short in the PCB layers, didnt bother with it so i turned it into a donor card)
the short was gone, when i tested the card on my PC, it didnt work at all and shorted the 12V rail again
then i saw that another mosfet shorted the 12v rail, so i decided to completely replace the mosfet + voltage controller + the doubler IC that connected to the newly burnt mosfet
anyway after that, the card "worked" for like 30 seconds but no display, and then tripped the 12V SCP again and its now back to stage 0 of shorted 12v rail
i didnt have enough time to check voltages when i powered it to see if Vcore was on sadly
any ideas? i suspect the core might actually be dead, or maybe some voltage controller peripherals are faulty and cause the Mosfets to burn
