Upstairs Dryer vent placed over my only window
I live on 2nd floor of condo. This is my only window. My kitchen. All the floorplans of the units in our tower are identical. Kitchen above kitchen above kitchen.
The president of our association lives directly above us. He just purchased a two bedroom condo next-door and has cut through a doorway to join them. In the process of gutting the units he has decided to place a large laundry room above our kitchen where his kitchen had been. All of our laundry rooms are on the opposite side of the condominium, and the dryer vents are stacked neatly away from any windows.
But since he decided to put his new large laundry room above our kitchen, he put the dryer vent directly over our only operating window .
When I contacted the board and our management company about our concerns the response I got was that they won’t use dryer sheets and they use All laundry detergent. I’ve made a call to the local Township building department to see if this was anything that would’ve passed inspection or needed a code. It’s been two weeks and I can’t reach anybody there to return my phone call.
What would you do?
