Pump Charging Discovery

Thought I would share with the group a cool thing I discovered today, my son's pump was almost dead and we were not home. On a whim, I tried my Samsung Power Sharing feature and it worked! I know it is not life changing information, but good to know if ever in a bind. He is 11, so sometimes forgets to charge his pump.

Best way to contact Dexcom? My son was just diagnosed with T1D and thinks he can't play baseball anymore

I posted this in the Padres subreddit originally, but was recommended to cross post here since Mason Miller is a Dexcom spokesperson. Sorry mods if this is not appropriate, but I am out of ideas and had to try.

I'm a dad from Missouri and I'm throwing up a long shot.

My son Jack is 11 years old and has been pitching for three years on a travel/competitive team. He loves this game more than anything. But he was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and right now he's convinced his baseball life is over.

A coach on the opposing team made a comment about his insulin pump and CGM that embarrassed him in front of other kids, and now he refuses to wear it at all. It's affecting his health. He's just a kid who wants to feel normal and isn't sure he can anymore.

Then I told him about Mason Miller.

He doesn't know I'm posting this. I don't want to get his hopes up, but I had to try something.

I know Mason has probably heard requests like this before, and I'm not expecting a miracle. I'm just a dad trying to find the right contact at Dexcom. If anyone has a community relations email, a PR contact, or any legitimate way to get a message through, please drop it below or feel free to DM me. Jack is 11 and too young for social media, so I'm his messenger.

Jack is a great kid and I couldn't be more proud of him. He just needs to know it's possible.
