Everyone is always talking about how scary the endworm is, and how terrifying their first encounter with one was. When in my experience endworms push your sub 20 meters doing almost no hull damage, then they swim around in circles for 30 seconds before coming back to boop your submarine on the nose again. I have never played with crew that has died to an endworm. A pair of mudraptors is genuinely more dangerous than an endworm. Why are people so scared of them?

There was a stationary blip on the radar in the fenced off area with the birch trees and I went to investigate. Got meta paranoia as soon as I climbed the fence. When I stood on the exact coordinates the radar blip was at I heard a quiet screeching noise and died instantly. Reloaded the save file and my atv was still at the fenced of area even though I spawned in the base. When I went to go get it there was a pile of flesh gibs where I died. Anyone have any idea what it was?
