Hi, Im struggling with the nose. The restst of the body is covered in fur and I hand-painted insides of ears, where is some lighter skin and lighter fur color. But the nose is very different and I want to procedurally generate textures for the nose + bake.

Regarding fur - its control via mask texture, where I can precisely control the hairline, thats not the issue.

Should I:

1. make the nose a different object? Hide the related faces on the main mesh (how)? How to solve the transition? Or maybe scale the nose object a little bit, so it hides the main mesh?

2. keep within one mesh, but assign different material to the nose? How to solve a smooth transition?

3. one material/texture for the whole cat? How to make work together texture paint (inside ears) and procedural generated + bake (nose)?
