Learned my lesson stacking too close to shed, looking for advice cleaning rat poop.

Just like the title states, I wasn’t aware that stacking near a shed was a big “no no” and now have a rat has pooped all over my wood and I’m sure is nested nearby.

I am needing to clean this off and move this to another spot, any recommendations on cleaning the rat poop safely? And making sure it safe to burn?

Tilden Jeans Barn Find Denim - 13oz STF selvedge denim from the White Oak Mill

Tilden Barn Find denim just arrived today. These are made from "13oz STF selvedge denim from the White Oak Mill. Woven on the original Draper looms that the classic Levi's, Lee and Wrangler denims were made."

I've been kicking myself for years for not buying a pair of ROY denim before he stopped making jeans and so when Tilden popped up on his stories a while back and that he was working with him to use the last of his denim, I was determined to snag a pair.

ORDER PROCESS: Tilden was amazing to work with, given these are expensive and made to order, I measured two of my most work pairs of denim and sent over my measurements to get his feedback on what sizing I should go with. Based on that, he recommended going with the tag size 32 measurements but then adding an inch in the waist. I also decided to go with the button fly vs the zipper and snap button now that he has that capability.

FIT: This is probably the best fitting denim I have ever worn. For those of you that remember me, I'm part of the thick thigh crew and tapered cuts can be frustrating for me. These fit like an absolute dream, plenty of room in the seat and thigh without looking too oversized and baggy. It has a fairly high rise so probably won't be tucking a whole into these as a medium size king (5'8").

Pros:

  • The white oak mill denim is incredible feeling, light and comfortable at only 13oz (I had him rinse these before sending)
  • Finishing details amazing from the pocket bags to the rear leather pocket patch
  • Fit, I said it above but these are spot on for me with an athletic build.
  • Made in America & supporting a small business. I really like Tilden's ethos and what his brand stands for; I know I'm buying into heritage and all that but that is part of what make these worth it to me.

Cons:

  • My only complaint is that they have a regular stitch on the hem vs a chain stitch because, ya know, HeRiTaGe and ThAtS hOw tHeY uSeD tO dO iT. Ill probably take these to blue owl and see if they can do a chain stitch.

Overall, I am very happy with this denim and can't wait to see how these age.

p.s. The t-shirt is a Merz 215, the boots are Chisos No.6 Ropers in rough out and the belt is from Tanner Goods
