I caedge-grainme into some cherry wood that measures 4"x4" and is 34" long. I cannot decide what to do with them. One idea was to cut the post into 2" pieces, glue them up , and make an edge grain cutting board from the 4" blocks. I dont think I ever seen that before. I worry about wood movement on such big pieces. What are your thoughts on using this for cutting board, or other building ideas?

Feral Cat, my kids started feeding. He hangs out on the porch and is a good boy, but is cautious. Very photogenic.
