Please pray for my boy, Melo. He’s 15 and he’s in ICU at the moment.
He’s been such a tough little guy his whole life but now he’s really needing a community of those who can appreciate the amount of love he’s capable of giving to send it back his way ten folds. I can’t thank you all enough for this, even anything as simple as a thought. 💞❤️🩹💞
***An update on Melo 💔***
First, thank you all so much for the incredible outpouring of kindness, prayers, and love. I never expected it would reach so many people and reading your comments really helped me(us) through the toughest day of my life.
Yesterday, the vet called us twice with updates saying that he was responding well to treatments and was on track to come home this evening. We were so hopeful. But everything changed suddenly. It’s believed that he suffered a pulmonary embolism, and despite all efforts, he passed.
Melo gave me nearly 16 years of unconditional comfort, companionship, and love. I fell in love with him from the first moment I set eyes on him. My grandfather was a respected breeder of chihuahuas so I had been around them my whole life. They’re ALL special but I knew immediately that Melo had a spirit I had never encountered, it matched mine. He was my best friend and the hole he’s left behind is impossible to fill.
Knowing that so many strangers took their time and cared enough to pray for him means more to me than I can express. Thank you for loving a little Chihuahua you’ve never met. I’ll carry his love and your kindness with me as I walk this path forward, him as my angel.
