Convince my wife to go active

I’m reposting completely since I butchered my prior post, I need help getting my wife on board with me transferring from the national guard to active duty

The guard interferes with my civilian jobs, I can’t keep a job due to being in the guard and the places that I can hold a job either don’t pay nearly enough or threaten to fire me due to the guard. Most of the time we’re living paycheck to paycheck, I don’t want to have to wonder every month if I’m going to be able to keep my wife and kid fed and keep a roof over their heads.

Her argument against it is PCS and not being able to choose where you live, deployments, rotations, and TDY. She’s not a fan of the idea and me constantly going to the field with me being a 12b

My main talking points are “free” insurance
Community resources
Grocery bill is cut by 1/3 with the commissary (proved at WPAB)
Steady pay including BAH
On post/ off post daycare services
She works in a field that is understaffed

Seeing how active can provide my wife and kid a better future ontop of I would love to go active at this point I feel like it’s the right decision but my wife doesn’t see it that way and in the end it is a family decision.

Ill take a spicy deluxe and a small sprite

Union and national guard

I’m wanting to get into the iron workers but something one of the guys I talked to about the apprenticeship bugged me. He said although it won’t effect my schooling at the local I may be prone to being laid off more or be one firsts to get laid off by the contractor due to my guard obligations.
Is this normal practice/ have you’ve seen this before?
Unless I’m wrong it sounds like it violates USERRA Laws (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act)

Moving mid apprenticeship

I know it’s not ideal but is it allowed and how does it work if I move a few states over? We don’t love the area we’re in but we are stuck in our lease for a little over a year but I’m not wanting to wait any longer to join the union
