Is it possible to experience "meaningfulness" out of small moments of our daily lives?

To such question I say "yes". But it is just an hypothesis.

Let's say you set yourself out to be kind to everyone you interact with, for a full day: say hello from you heart, wish others a nice day for real (not on automatic-mode), open the door to someone. All these out of nothing. Expecting nothing in return. Even openned to be ignored. Even seen suspiciously "nice". Just very little "10-second-episodes" of connection within and with others. Not as a stressful therapy daily task (please, don't do that to yourself)...Just chilled... cool... just for the sake of being kind.

Or deliverately choose to observe closely some...I don't know... flower, focus on a bird's song. Again: not telling yourself "I'm gonna feel good now" or "I'll get all possible details here". No. Much more simple: just sort of connecting with the flower or the sound. Ideally letting go of any thought. Being present, no mind chatter...

Would you say these (perhaps ridiculously small experiences) could add up to a more meaningful day? (not a meaningful life...)

Why does it have to be "The" meaning or “The” meaning of it all?

Aren’t these "The’s” hard self-imposed pressure for grandiosity, life-changing revelations?… epiphanies?. Even deep rational thoughts?…

The way I see it: "Life" or "it all" is a sum of seconds, minutes, hours, days and so on.

Say... paying attention to how you hold a glass and enjoy the feeling of the water running down your throat. Give away a "have a good day" truly from the heart, wishing the person those words sincerely, looking into his/her eyes... my personal favorite: handling your hands with grace throughout the day: put on your clothes slowly… wash the dishes like they were totally fragile, or (remember to) handwrite slowly the most beautiful possible letters you can make.

Silver threads or cosmic lightning bolts may happen to some, of course. But not to most of us… I suppose.

To live with “presentness” whatever catches our attention, somehow resonate and stick behind our memory, no matter how small. In those seconds, minutes, hrs or days. Perhaps meaning may show in the small events.

Would you guys give it a shot…? try to “get the feeling” of meaning? And comment here? (I guess no one will be bullied!)

Why does meaning have to be "grandiose" or "epiphanic"?

I mean, when it comes to "the meaning of life" or "the meaning of it all," those questions feel (to me) like self-imposed pressure.

"Life" or "it all" is just a sum of seconds, minutes, hours, days and so on. So why does meaning have to show up as a huge block?

Say... enjoying the feeling of the water running down your throat. Give away a simple "hello" or "have a nice day" but truly from the heart, looking into the other's eyes... my personal favorite: handling your hands with grace throughout the day — how you hold a glass, wash every dish like it's very fragile, or (remember to) handwrite slowly the most beautiful possible letters.

No epiphanies or full revelations... no cosmic lightning bolts. Just moments of presentness that catch your attention, somehow resonate and stay.

Does anyone else believe meaning may show up like that — in the small events almost too ordinary to mention?
