Meta layoffs and their property tax break

I’m assuming at least some folks in Altoona were laid off yesterday with Meta’s 8,000 personnel cut. I’m sorry if you’re reading this and one of them was you.

From what I understand, Meta got a property tax break until 2034 and yet presumably there are now probably several high-paying jobs that have been eliminated- reducing the economic value in and around the area.

Curious if anyone has any more information on this subject.
