Setting up PA for a narrow long room

Hi!

I was tasked to setup a PA for a small, long narrow room. The room is 4.5 m wide x 20m long with a ceiling height of only 2.5m. This venue seats around 60-100 people. It’s not acoustically treated nor will it be in the near future.

What is my best setup for speakers? 2 tops? What is an ideal speaker size and wattage? Also what is the ideal speaker coverage angle to get for such a room?

Thank you!

EDIT: Sorry I forgot to mention: the venue will have a full band for music. Delays are in the plans but won’t be purchased yet because of the owners tight budget, monitors will be prioritized (either IEM or actual monitors).

Campdraft

My Akubra Campdraft in silverbelly finally came! I’m gonna take my time with this one. My first plan would make an open road style out of this.

Question: how many time can a hat get reshaped before it gets floppy and loses shape? I’m especially worried about the brim.

Final iteration of the Akubra Cattleman

I guess I couldn’t help but put the ‘cattleman’ in the Akubra Cattleman.

For context. I thought I loved the teardrop crown on the Cattleman until my order came and it didn’t sit on my head exactly how I wanted it to and it made my hair look like I wore a bucket after a few minutes. I wish I would’ve got the Kiandra but I thought I’d just do a reshape.

This is my first hat! How did I do? Any tips on smoothening out the rough bumps from the previous reshapes? I know this isn’t exactly a cattleman’s crease, Akubra calls it the ‘cigar shaped crown’ and I love the look of all those hats so this is my attempt to copy it with the low crown that this hat has available.

I love how it looks now! It doesn’t mess up my hair too even after hours of wear.

Reshaping the Akubra Cattleman pt 2!

Part 1

https://www.reddit.com/r/Akubra/s/iKnnha8vdo

I finally got around to do it after owning it for only 2 months 🤣

The goal was to round it out a bit and make the crown a bit taller so it doesn’t keep messing my hair up. I really liked the shape on the Kiandra so I had a photo of that beside me while shaping.

How’d I do?

Reshaping the Akubra Cattleman

Hi y'all!

I just purchased the akubra cattleman not too long ago, and as everyone else I got hooked on this whole hat thing. I'm slowly learning what style I really want from a hat and am realizing that the shape of the cattleman seems a bit too "square" for me from the front.

Aside from that, the crown is low enough that is sits on my hair, leaving a really bad hairstyle after a few minutes of wear.

Now, I still love this hat but I am wondering if anyone out there has had the same experience as me and tried to reshape this hat a bit to raise the crown and even "round" it out a bit.

For reference, I really love the crown on the Kiandra or the coober peedy. I feel like it's easier to style.

Thanks!

Hat storage

Started with 2 of my (current) 3 hat collection. Is this a good idea for hat storage or will this cause them to warp overtime?

Styling ideas?

Just getting into this hat thing. I’ve been into Amekaji, ametora, classic men styles and all sorts of fashion stuff for as long as I remember but it’s only now I’m getting into full brim hats. I just got my first hats and I’m hooked.

I started with a Stetson Bozeman. Within weeks I found it too flimsy and decided to just use it as a beater while riding my motorcycle around town. Now I got an Akubra Cattleman.

I’m starting to learn about the history of these stuff. I only found out now that the akubra cattleman is a work, outdoor hat and I really wanted a hat that is for elevating outfits, and to dress up with. I guess I should’ve gotten something else?

Anyway, any tips on styling outback style hats like the Akubra one?

Love to see your inspirations!

Edit: what type of hat would you recommend for all around use? One I can use with a suit, and also with casual everyday rugged wear.

Buying from REVERB

Can anybody share their experience buying from Reverb especially from international sellers? Particularly in terms of shipping and customs tax.

Thank you

Hello!

Running a business of FMCG mixed both vat exempt and vatable products.

Given the nature of FMCG marami tayong resibo.

I've had rough experiences with accountants in the past, and also got served a LOA for 2024 and preparing for 2025.

As of this Q1, we hired a consultant tax atty to teach us to do it by ourselves.

What is the best thing to do? Should we keep filing ourselves (with risk of nobody to help when we get served another LOA) or is it still better to get an accountant (yung hindi sana nagsaside with BIR when it comes to audits, saan kaya makakahanap ng ganito lol).

Thanks. Just need some clarity from people more experienced with these things.
