I have a steez a 1016 xh with a tatula 300 handle on it as my swimbait reel with an evergreen combat stick 7’8 xh mf rod. I mainly throw 1.5-2.5oz baits. However I have recently bought a kgb legend which is 3.3oz and a DRT K9 which is 4 oz. My question is which reel would be better for the 3-4oz range. I haven’t fished the new lures yet but testing them in my pool seems fine. I’m just worried about prolonged use of the heavier lures and burning out the gears on my steez. Should I keep using the steez or should I switch to the zillion HD. Also open to other recommendations for reels. I may potentially get a new combo in the future for the 4-6oz range and would like recommendations for reels for that combo as well. Thanks in advance!

I have 2 previous gen steez sv and one steez a. I’m very comfortable and confident in the casting style. I recently bought a metanium XG for jig fishing. I have the breaks and tension maxed out and still backlashing on the beginning of the cast. What are some tips to adjust from the steez casting style to the metanium and any tips on what I might be doing wrong?
