This applies to all US orders that have just the GB Operator (not combined with SN Operator yet since restock for that is still ongoing), and that were placed by the time I write this message today. At the US warehouse we still have the reserved GB Operator units set aside, for combined orders placed up to June 17, 2026, they're just waiting for big bro SN Operator to get there.

On a more personal note: this year has been truly incredible - with the launch of SN Operator, our work reached new people. This led to a significant increase in demand.

We will have Operators permanently stocked again, but until that point there is some waiting time because we need to run entire assembly cycles. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and also sincerely grateful for your support.

If your order is successfully placed, that means you have a guaranteed reserved unit from the next batch, no matter what. Once stocked, all orders get processed chronologically and tracking info gets sent to your inbox when ready. If you need to update the address, contact Support and I'll take care of it.

Parts that I resonated with the most:

Personal opinion: I've had a lot of fun with Flashback since launch, taking candid snaps of my dog during the day, or just random little moments that otherwise blur into a normal day's monotony and I might not even realise how special they are.

By taking the time to choose a filter, trying out all the settings to see what changes, and being forced to abide by the Game Boy Camera's pixelated constraints, I found myself to be more present when taking a photo.

It might just be a me thing, but with the normal camera it's all set up already and I just push a button, take the photo and forget about it in less than 3 seconds, like a goldfish - 9/10 times it's decent quality just as-is. But with Flashback I really have to think about framing, lighting, dither etc. and it's a more active process.

I'm here with an update for the GB Operator! After receiving the circuit boards, assembly went well and we are currently stocking warehouses. Most units have already arrived and are being processed for shipping starting today, June 30th.

It will take us several days to go through the backlog of orders that has been accumulating since we ran out of stock back on April 12th. Tracking info will be sent to your inbox as soon as it is available for your exact order.
