Hello! Been enjoying the GB and SN Operator for a while now! So far, I’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon games and of course the Mario GBA games. For the SN Operator, I’ve been mostly playing Mario Paint lol

I think it would be amazing to have an NES/Famicom Operator for the loose carts I have. I don’t have an NES unfortunately. I do have a Famicom! It’s just hell to get it to work with the new gen TVs I have. But that’s a whole other problem I’ll go through another Reddit about lol

Don’t know if Epilogue is interested in developing an Operator for Famicom/NES. If so, I would love to hear about it (of course after your 64 Operator!)!

Hello. I am looking to buy both operators and am super excited! One use case I have for them is to be able to apply translation patches to Japanese games like Mother 3 on GBA and the Super Famicom Fire Emblem games and play them back on native hardware. I saw the discussion about live translation being in the pipeline, but I was curious what being able to get the patched rom to run on original hardware would be like.

Would you rip the rom from the game, patch it, and write the translated rom to a flash cart? Could you also use the sd based flash carts and use the operator as the ripping device?

I’m very new to all of this so any advice is appreciated! Just want to use my cartridges and original hardware as much as possible.

In anticipation I started looking for rewritable SNES flashcarts (not multicarts).

Does anybody of the SN Operator owners already have some experience and can make recommendations?

And a more general question:

Does anybody know if the operators support writing to the Gameboy/GBA/SNES Blaster cartridges from RetroStage?

Epilogue, It would be great if the Play App had the abiltiy to save/export our library of backed up cartridge's data to a spreadsheet for collection tracking purposes. Please consider this for a furture enhancement. Loving my GB Operator and looking forward to my SN Operator which I'm currently waiting for. Also, Looking forward to announcements of future Operators you will be coming out with for other consoles.

I just ordered my first Operator (GB Operator) a few days ago and I can't wait to get it!

I was wondering if Epilogue has thought about creating cartridge adapter buddies for some of your existing operators? It would be pretty neat to add value to the operators already owned by your customers by having adapters that add functionality to them.

I own a Save the Hero Builders Cartridge Reader and with that device, there are adapters for each family of system (Sega Master and Game Gear adapters slot into the Sega Genesis slot, NES and Virtua Boy Adapters into SNES..you can even do Wonderswan and Neo Geo Pocket Color!)

Anyway just an idea that I think would be pretty cool. :)

With the Pokemon Bank shutting down on this short notice I think it’s very clear that the epilogue community would love to see a DS operator. Pokémon’s and play throughs are no longer safe. I beg for DS operator, take my money!

This applies to all US orders that have just the GB Operator (not combined with SN Operator yet since restock for that is still ongoing), and that were placed by the time I write this message today. At the US warehouse we still have the reserved GB Operator units set aside, for combined orders placed up to June 17, 2026, they're just waiting for big bro SN Operator to get there.

I thought that it would be incredibly useful if the Playback app had a built-in ROM patching tool to patch a game rom live while playing from an authentic physical cartridge.

This could allow you to insert a Japanese game for example, point the playback app to a translation patch of your choice (the choice part is important because Retroachivements only supports specific translation patches), and the playback app can patch it any time you use the operator to play that Japanese game and translate it to another language. The patching process for these games is usually very fast, so I think there could be a way to do it where it doesn't feel clunky.

I'm actually taking a trip to Japan and am hoping to pick up some GBA and SNES games there and thought it would be neat if the Operators translated the games for you in this way.

I guess much like why Epilogue chose to create these Operators, my idea came from a need. haha :)

With the stop of the bank in February.. we NEED a legal solution to duplicate our backups and keep our pokemons on our consoles and send their clone on HOME.. please..

On a more personal note: this year has been truly incredible - with the launch of SN Operator, our work reached new people. This led to a significant increase in demand.

We will have Operators permanently stocked again, but until that point there is some waiting time because we need to run entire assembly cycles. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and also sincerely grateful for your support.

Am I able to run more than one GB operators at once on my PC in order to to shiny hunt in my old pokemon games???

Do we know if there be a way to read data from the memory packs?

Whether it's a slot to plug the card in directly or a controller port to read from the card that way?

The Operators are about data preservation, right? It'd be a real shortfall if this wasn't an option.
