Any future plans for Super Gameboy (2) support on SN Operator ?

Hello everyone.

So as the title might suggest, I want to ask if anything like this is planned for a future update.

I know, I could just use the GB Operator (is there even a SGB mode inside the software ?), but being able to use an actual Super Gameboy just adds another layer of "realism" to me, if you will. Especially the SGB 2 with the corrected clock speed.

I'm planning to centralize all gaming on my PC, since my living space is limited and I don't want to clutter it with consoles. Still, being able to collect physical game copies is a hobby i want to keep pursuing.

I'd be very grateful if that issue would be resolved in the future.

JVC GY-HM100 vs GY-HM150 ?

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a new toy to play with and found the two mentioned above. Does anyone have experience with both of them ?

From what I could find of test videos from both of these, I think the GY-HM150 is at least a bit less noisy. Or are they actually more or less the same when it comes to the video results, and I'm just seeing bad examples of the GY-HM100 ?

Thanks

Touch screen + physical keyboard combo kinda useless or even uncomfortable ?

Hello. So just like everyone here, I'm for the lookout for a smaller phone. The general state of choice is currently:

- iPhone SE, 12/13 mini

- Unihertz Jelly series

- various QWERTY keyboard phones.

- exotic android flip phones

Currently owning the Jelly Max, but I'm still not 100% satisfied with it.

Lately I thought a lot about keyboard phones. To me, the idea of both having a physical keyboard AND an actual touch screen just seems wrong. I know I could just decide to just not use the touch screen, but my brain somehow can't comprehend that. If I have a touch screen, then the keyboard is useless and vice versa. This applies to both a flip phone and a QWERTY phone.

Maybe I'm just the weird one, Idk. Let me know what you guys think.

Various Artists/compilation album

Hi everyone.

Me and a few electronic producer friends are independent artists. We formed a group or "collective" in 2016 and this year, for the occasion of the 10th anniversary, we're doing a small compilation album - each contributing one track.

How does the Various Artists album release feature work ? My plan or understanding is this:

- We all have our own Bandcamp pages. Here we can upload the extended mixes of the contributed tracks.

- Parallel to that, one of us distributes the Various Artists/compilation album through CDbaby.

- Will CDbaby handle distributing each track to their respective primary artists' streaming platfrom page ?

- In theory we should get a separate ISRC code for every album track mix and every extended mix.

Am I delusional or is that something that will work ?

Bonus question: Will the primary artist names be properly displayed on the destination streaming services ? I know that the album itself will be credited to "Various Artists", but what about the individual tracks inside of it ?

I don't have a CDbaby account yet. That's why I'm asking here how that works and I might consider it.

I'd be grateful if somebody shared theis experience on that. Thanks !

(P.S. I also heard that CDbaby is a bit unreliable when it comes to release dates and payments, also a bit of shady business. Can anyone shed some light on that as well ?)

I'm scared I'll never have THOSE feelings ever again (or at least anytime soon)

Hi everyone.Hi everyone. This is purely a vent, there's no use for me of receiving feedback on this besides getting some validation in an attempt to not feel so sorry about myself (which sounds toxic af in a way).

I think I'm slowly coming to terms that I might be demiromantic and/or demisexual (possibly even ace). It's all very confusing to me right now.

TLDR: Someone I finally connected to properly and who became dear to me moved away and probably never reciprocated.

Anyway, story time (probably way too long):

I (28M) got to meet someone (27F) in college around 2 years ago. Just an acquaintance, we maybe saw each other once a week really. We both did/do music. Soon after, I cancelled studying there.

Some time after, summer last year, she reached out to me, asking if I would like to prepare a small gig for the college's summer party with her. Having thought nothing of it, I agreed. Sure enough it was a fun experience to have. After that we tried to continue a bit more making music together and generally be there for each other, since we both struggle with mental health issues. We talked a lot.

Fast forward to April this year - she comes to my place and we jam again. However, she told me that she broke up with her long term boyfriend and now wants to move back to her home city. She also seemed to initiate some physical contact, seemingly accidentally touching my leg with her leg while sitting on the couch next to each other. I was confused and uncomfortable with that, as before that we both respected those boundaries. I froze. The day got by and she left. I got to know some time after that she discovered being bi and experimented with hookups.

Soon after, in June, we had another rehearsal. We were again sitting close to each other on the couch. Me, being a virgin and not knowing what I know now, asked her "I might read you wrong and I'm sorry if I do, but do you feel like having sex ? I don't want this to be weird." BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING - I now realize that I always seemed to want to force myself into sex, despite it not being what I actually feel like doing (hence my assumption about me being demi or ace), I guess because "this is what I'm SUPPOSED to want". She kindly refused with no harsh feelings. We talked a lot, also about the incident from two months ago. She claimed that it was simply a misscommunication from her side.

After that we saw each other maybe 2 more times. In the end, she moved away exactly one week ago.

The point of my story is this - I think I DID in fact develop feelings quietly over the course of the last 4 months, for someone I only considered a very close friend, without me knowing/realizing it and never actually wanting it. But it is what it is. I felt so good, so safe and so open being around her. I never felt something like that towards anyone else before and I'm scared I might never connect to someone like that again. I miss her dearly.

The last time I saw her 2 weeks ago she told me we can visit each other from time to time. We live only 3 hours apart now, but I feel like I would be invading her life trying to rebuild what was once there (at least from my side). I don't know if she actually ever reciprocated my feelings, we never talked about that because, like I said, I wasn't sure whether I myself had feelings or not. But now I know I do/did.

I regret not knowing what I actually wanted/experienced and communicating it back then. I consider myself being demi/possible ace because this is what happened every time I developed any kind of feelings towards anybody. That itself happens so rarely though that I never paid closer attention to it. The least I can be grateful for is that I know that now, and might communicate that in case something similar happens in the future.

It sucks. Thanks for putting in the time and energy to read me whine.

Super Mario World PC port co-op (mod ONLY) ?

Hello everyone. So I just found the SMW decomp from snes-rev.

Apparently there are mods for this exact decomp available. Sadly I can't find them, if they exist. Google doesn't give me anything.

I'm especially looking for a co-op mod. Yes, I know that there's Super Mario World Remastered (up to 4 players), but I saw/heard in some videos that certain sounds have been replaced in favor of "Remastered"

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Unihertz Jelly Max camera fix ?

Hi everyone. So I have a Unihertz Jelly max. (For me at least) it's the perfect size, has 5G and I dumbified it to my needs.

But the camera sucks, for real. Is it possible to maybe use a different camera app or is that strictly a hardware issue ?

Thanks

How to release and distribute a various artist/compilation/collective album (5 artists, each one track) ?

Hello everyone.

Me and a few friends are artists as a collective (nothing official yet, but working on it), yet everyone is independent. We want to release an EP or mini album of some sort. It's a special occasion as it's gonna be the group's 10th anniversary, so we thought we could make a group project. None of the track is a collaboration.

We could release each track individually through our own means (personal Bandcamps). But then how will it get distributed and/or labeled as a collective project ? Do we have to establish a label or release at the same label ?

I'd be grateful for a detailed rundown of how we could approach this. Music business is something none of us has dipped their toes in yet.

Has anyone had experience with that ?

We want to make this group EP happen. Thanks.

Behringer Flow 8 Live sound + mtk recording SIMULTANOUSLY ?

Hi everyone. I have a small acoustic gig coming up (6 input sources), that I want to also record to later mix in post for a concert video. I'm looking for something cheap and the Flow 8 seems to be it.

My question is - can it be used as a mixer AND an audio interface/recorder at the same time, capturing the direct sound from the preamps without the the processing of the live sound ?

I'd be grateful for a reply.

I love living alone, but also crave intimacy; fear of loss

Hello everyone.

So I (28M) am living alone. I have a stable job + home situation.

My job gives me a lot of free time, not much money but enough to get by and save a bit every month. I work part-time and only at nights (at an institution for disabled people, always on the phone, but 90% of the time nothing is going on, so I'm allowed to sleep and basically have the day for myself)

I rent a 1-bedroom apartment which suits all my needs and is cheap, way below what one would pay where I'm living.

All-in-all, I hit the jackpot and got lucky. All the pieces fit together perfectly.

Here's the thing. Even though I'm grateful for what I have (and I have a lot, considering my overall living standard in a relative sense), I still find myself craving an intimate connection with somebody. But then this paranoia kicks in and I imagine the following:

I fall in love -> get into a long-term relationship -> partner will want to move in together in the long run -> somehow it breaks apart someday -> I already lost my cheap apartment -> I have to find a different place and a new job which will make ends meet (and sacrifice the freedom my current job is giving me).

Overall I'm happy with my situation, but get extremely lonely somtimes. I have only a few friends that decided to come along at different stages in my life. It's never been me to initiate any of my friendships, as I don't want to force anyone to anything. I'm scared of losing them also. Therefore it's not easy for me to meet new people in general. Idk what to do about my situation. Thanks for reading all this.
