Tyrions description of Cersei is always so fun to read

"Westeros is torn and bleeding, and I do not doubt that even now my sweet sister is binding up the wounds … with salt. Cersei is as gentle as King Maegor, as selfless as Aegon the Unworthy, as wise as Mad Aerys. She never forgets a slight, real or imagined. She takes caution for cowardice and dissent for defiance. And she is greedy. Greedy for power, for honor, for love. Tommen's rule is bolstered by all of the alliances that my lord father built so carefully, but soon enough she will destroy them, every one."

I think about this passage so much in relation to cersei, and tyrion really knows her spot on. Having cerseis affc chapters to contextualize her inner thoughts only reinforces tyrions words to me.

Im of the opinion that aegon and rhaenyra are in the top 10 worst targaryen monarchs, and they both had a pretty big hand in the downfall of their dynasty. Can't really get much worse than being the two people most responsible for your dynasty losing its greatest weapon. And being responsible for the only targaryen civil war (unless you count the blackfyres) isnt great.

This probably isnt anything new, but i just noticed it. In Jaime VI, he parlays with the blackfish at riverrun, and jaime offers brynden the black in exchange for his men, saying that jon was lord there. Its interesting that brynden seems distrustful of jon, even insisting that tywin might have put jon in power at the wall. He speaks of cats distrust, so its interesting how he sees jon through cats eyes, even though him and jon have some striking similarities
