New cdi not working right

I got this adjustable rev limit cdi for my bike and it will only work when I put the dip buttons in any of the “racing mode” configurations (see 2nd picture)

Whenever I try to put it on one of the rev limiter modes it just sputters and backfires when I try to start it. Anyone know how to fix that?

Also does anyone know if it still has a rev limiter in “racing mode” maybe it’s just a lot higher like 10k rpm’s or something? Thanks.

I’m still fairly new to riding dirtbikes and I’m 5’11 and have a 125 trail bike so I know obviously it’s too small for me so that might be causing my problems but Is it normal for my bike to move a lot under me when on loose gravel? It just feels pretty unpredictable. Also when standing up on the bike I find my arms get fatigued almost immediately like I’m only being held on the bike with my arms, could this be because I’m leaning too far back? but when I do lean more forward I kinda feel like I’m going to go over the handle bars is this normal? Thanks.

Does anyone know how to get a title for a dirtbike with just a vin number? Specifically Nova Scotia but any advice is helpful, Thanks.
