Driver didn’t understand the words “AC” or “air conditioner”
I’ve never left a review before. And I just joined this community, thanks for having me!
Here’s my story-
It was a 98 degree day in my area. I asked to turn the AC on as soon as I got in the car.
When we pulled out of my driveway, I asked again and she kind of mumbled something at me.
At the first red light, I asked her very clearly, please turn the AC on. It’s very hot, please. She said she didn’t understand and then pointed to the red light and her GPS as if she couldn’t do more than one thing.
Now we’re at the second light I’m still sweating and the AC is only on low pointed at her. I said again very clearly, and now with an aggravated tone,
Can you please turn the ac on higher, can you please put the AC on higher? I repeated myself several times. (Now that I’m typing this I guess I should’ve said lower, but I wanted the air to be blowing higher so idk.)
She suddenly understands me with the same words I’ve been using and turns the dial up to blow more air. Additionally, the back vent wasn’t blowing any air. And yes, I tried to move the center toggle. I didn’t bother saying anything or addressing it. I just pushed over to the center to try to get some air.
I think she wasn’t trying to turn the AC on because it was a short trip and the AC uses gas. No idea. It was also an extra comfort ride or whatever they call it, so I felt like there was no reason I should be sweating in the backseat.
I guess I just came here to vent (ha, vent). Has anyone else experienced something similar?
