I felt really guilty for eating a lot of sweets today so i did it again, first i did only cat scratches but then suddenly THE SKIN IN THE CUT IS LIGHTER THEN MY SKINTONE. Ive did styros many times but they were mostly small and not that deep, i only have one that is a bit bigger and deeper but this one is DEFINITELY WAY BIGGER AND DEEPER. I put pressure on it with a tissue and applied a bandaid so im fine, but i did panic a bit.

I have just discovered this absurd community on tiktok, idk if theres one on reddit too, but these people seriously think that cat scratches arent valid bc theyre not deep enough?!!? LIKE HELLO CAN WE STOP COMPARING SCARS?!? EVERYONE WHO HAS COMMITTED ANY FORM OF SELF HARM IS VALID. AND NO GOING DEEPER DOESNT MAKE U ‚more valid‘. THIS IS SO INSANE PEOPLE WHO DO SH ARE DEALING WITH ALL SORTS OF EMOTIONAL STRESS AND NOW YOURE SAYING THEYRE NOT VALID BC THEYRE NOT GOING DEEP ENOUGH? DO U FUCKING REALISE YOURE JUST CAUSING THEM TO HAVE MORE EMOTIONAL STRESS WHICH WILL LEAD TO THEM GOING DEEPER?!? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. WHY WHY WHY ARE WE DOING THIS SHIT ,!??!?!!

So i have visible sh scars on both my arms and i know that once it gets warmer i will wear t shirts bc i dont want to sweat in the heat. I wore t shirts w sh scars too, some were even fresh but i always try to hide them in some way despite wearing something short sleeved. Is this still weird or selfish of me? Will some people get triggered by my scars? Please let me know because i have realised this may be a problem.
