Two cats in need of rehoming

Hey everyone. Reaching out for some mutual aid.

I am a life coach who works with adults with disabilities. Currently I have an unhoused client who resides in Missoula that has an opportunity for housing but they do not allow cats due to allergies.

They are 2 males who are not bounded

Romer - a black short hair

Pappy - An orange cat

Both will need some vet care, Likely all 4 have intestinal worms and several may also have fleas. My client can offer $30 for each to assist with this cost.

We are looking to re-home these cats in the next two weeks. We have already reached out to Animeals, Missoula Animal Control, and the Humane Society. Two of the three are full due to Kitten season, with the third - Missoula Animal Control - is also near capacity. They encouraged us to seek other options.

This is my clients first opportunity for housing after 6 years on the wait-list, and she will lose it if we can't re-home these cats. If any of you are able to assist please feel free to DM me. You're also welcome to share this with your communities.

Attached are photos of the cats provided to me by my client with permission

EDIT:

Edit 1: I have already reached out to Advocats (no response), Missoula Mutual Aid (kept denying my post approval and wouldn't explain why), Animeals (won't work with our timeline), Humane Society (won't work with our timeline), and Missoula Animal Control (full up).

Edit 2: Looks like Humane Society now has an opening -- they said no for weeks and then called us back today -- so we have a tentative plan to surrender the cats on Sunday. Hopefully they won't have to back out, but just in case I'm looking for backup options still.

As you might have heard if you follow union news, the REI Union has called for a boycott of REI during our upcoming Anniversary Sale on May 15th-25th. If you're wondering what you can do to help build a little more justice into this world please do the following:

  1. Sign a pledge card at https://boycottrei.com
  2. Don’t shop at this year’s Anniversary Sale.

As a member of our national bargaining committee I know can confirm that REI’s final offer was a literal joke. By which I mean, they sent across a proposal so absurd it was meant to elicit laughs. On top of demanding we accept deeper cuts than what our non-union coworkers are getting, they demanded the union donate $6,000,000 to REI’s charity fund, which is less than what REI itself gives (lol). So obviously we rejected that and will be going to war, and we would love your support!
