Potato wedges

Idk if this is a city based thing but I swear every time I try to order potato wedges they never have them. Even when it’s lunch time of the day just starting. What actually goes on

Parents have become lazy

I’m not a mom, but I honestly think when behaviour like this is enabled, it can come across as really irresponsible parenting in my opinion. My boyfriend has an 18-year-old sister who’s been pretty coddled by his mom. She hasn’t really been expected to do a lot of the things my boyfriend and his older sister had to do growing up, even into their late teens. For example, her parents bought her a car and still pay for her gas and insurance, even though they’ve said they’re “hurting for money” right now due to the husband having an accident. Meanwhile, my boyfriend and his older sister had to work for their cars and cover their own expenses to learn responsibility and independence.
She also doesn’t really have much ambition or plans after graduating, which would be fine on its own, but she openly says she doesn’t know and doesn’t really care. It feels like she’s never really been encouraged to think about or plan for her future compared to the other two siblings. On top of that, she can come across as quite bratty and often very b**chy, but it gets excused as being “sassy.” The main issue right now is that she’s not working because she says she doesn’t want a job where she has to talk to people, cuz she doesn’t want to, which is so dumb because jobs involve communication. She doesn’t have social anxiety, believe me. Her mom also seems to be reinforcing it by telling people she “can’t find a job,” when there are actually a lot of easy positions available right now in our area. Today I had an interview for a second job and mentioned to their mom that she could easily apply there since they’re hiring for simple roles like cleaning, cashier work, and phone bookings. Her mom said she saw it but wasn’t sure about her doing cashier or bookings or cleaning. It’s just frustrating because it feels like a really missed opportunity for her to start building independence and earning her own income. Instead, it seems like everything is being excused or avoided, and I worry it’s setting her up for failure long term. It’s not rly my place to say this type of thing to her but like someone has to
