I'm adding an EPUB downloaded with FanFicFare onto my XTEINK X4 device, but every paragraph starts on a new page. A chapter that should be around 30 pages ends up being almost 200 pages. There is a huge page break between each paragraph. 

I also tried converting the EPUB to EPUB again in Calibre and checked "Remove spacing between paragraphs," but it didn't help. I enabled Structure Detection and added / to the Detect chapters field as well, but that didn't change anything either.

The same original EPUB displays perfectly on my Kobo, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

I'm having a strange issue with my XTEINK X4. I'm on Crossink firmware.

I tried converting the EPUB to EPUB again in Calibre, checked "Remove spacing between paragraphs," and also played with Structure Detection (including adding / to the Detect chapters field), but nothing changed.

The exact same EPUB displays perfectly on my Kobo, so it seems like the issue is specific to the XTEINK X4.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a setting on the X4 or something in Calibre that I should be changing?

Could someone help me better understand this arc? I may have missed some details while reading

1. Why did Hua Cheng initiate the kiss with Xie Lian at altar? He seemed so out of it and got quite needy when XL briefly left, and that he didn’t remember what happened. Was there a specific reason behind his actions, or was he acting on instinct?

2. Why did HC revert to his little form and struggle to change back?

3. Did the opening of Mount Tonglu have some kind of effect on all ghosts? Since Hua Cheng was already a Supreme by then, I assumed it wouldn’t affect him the same way it affected other ghosts. Am I misunderstanding how Mount Tonglu works?

4. Approximately how long did Hua Cheng stay in the Cave of Ten Thousand Gods? Also, did he become a Supreme during Xie Lian’s 2nd ascension? I’m having trouble placing these events on the timeline

I’m looking for recommendations for a compact, portable ereader (preferably 6" or smaller) that I can easily carry during my commute or use on lunch breaks at work. I'm familiar with sideloading books so that shouldn't be an issue.

Right now, I’m considering the following options (budget is $100 or less):

• Xteink X4 – $70
• Used Kindle 3 with keyboard – $30
• Used Kindle 4 with buttons – $20
• Openbox Nook Simple Touch – $80

Has anyone used any of these recently that could share some thoughts? Are there any other ereaders under $100 that I should consider? If you have any recommendations outside of my budget, feel free to suggest those as well. I’d be willing to stretch it a bit for the right device.

My Kobo Libra 2 has been my daily reader for the past few years, and I’m very happy with it. I mostly use it at home and in bed, so I’m not looking to replace it, just wanting a smaller secondary device.
