Seven years later and I still dont know what De Jong’s Barça era is

This is such a weird legacy. De Jong is now the Dutch player with the most appearances for Barça, which should sound enormous. And yet if someone asked me for the one match, one season or one role that defines his time there, I’d have to think way too long. That isnt the same as saying he’s been bad. He’s had injuries, different coaches, different midfield partners, different jobs, and plenty of very good stretches. Maybe that’s exactly the point though. Some players leave a highlight. Some leave a position. De Jong might leave a pile of good football without one clear identity attached to it.

Free standing folding table or Lagun mount for occasional laptop work?

My wife and I are looking at a high-roof camper van with a fixed rear bed and a swiveling passenger seat, but no dinette. That layout works for us most of the time, and I don’t really want to sacrifice the open floor space for a permanent desk.

The one situation I’m trying to solve is friday mornings. We’d like to leave home on Thursday nights for weekend trips, but I usually need to work for two or three hours before signing off on friday. Working from the bed would get old quickly, especially on rainy mornings when setting up outside isn’t an option.

I first considered installing a Lagun mount beside the passenger seat. But then I remembered that I already had one musso d7 sitting unused at home. Which I bought earlier for my daughter to use as a drawing table, but she didn’t take it to school. It seems like I could use it in front of the swivel seat and fold it away once I’m finished instead of drilling into the cabinetry.

My hesitation is the loose furniture aspect. I’d need somewhere secure to strap it down while driving, and I’m not sure whether a free-standing table would become annoying in such a small space even if it’s only used a few hours a week.

Has anyone tried both setups and ended up preferring one long term?
