Lack of Financial literacy in Desi communities
Why is this still a thing? Especially in Canada.
Every time I try to give financial advice to cousins on investing it seems it isn’t reciprocated well. They view it as judgment more than help deal with financial stresses.
Why do people not prioritize their finances and assume they can figure it out after marriage. Not understanding tools available to you to invest and retire. Or the idea we can earn together and overcome all financial obstacles is still a thing in 2026? Marriage is a multi million dollar commitment yet have no idea that is what it takes.. Unaware of end goal and delusional about being able to reach it as couple with no financial planning.
