Can we talk about shields for a moment? I feel like usage has a lot of potential to unlock thats not being tapped quite yet.
Current interesting examples are the weed and co, the beavers, the banana. All seem fun to have or collect. The classic abstract shapes are also cool but we should think bigger.
And while we are talking about shields, why does the tree shield have such a wide base? Is that really necessary?
I think more limited runs of novel shields has a ton of collector potential. What shields would you like to see? I vote for a cat, a dog silhouette - would love a shepherd head. Or maybe scissors for a barber. Maybe a syringe for people in the medicine field. etc etc! Skis? A sword?
If anyone at the makers sees this post and runs with my ’more fun shields’ idea, please let me know so I can grab one! 😎

Anyone know about Remington UMC knives?
This was my grandfather’s, unsure how old it is (but he did fight in WW2) or the history. Small blade still has spring action with half stop, while large blade barely has some spring left and stays open mainly from friction. Any information would be appreciated!
Spyderco lil native g10 lockback s30v; vs Foxknives suru full carbon fiber. If you prefer a frame lock, this might be the switch for you
Suru is not a new model, but recently saw the carbon fiber frame lock on sale and was curious. Have not seen other models with a carbon fiber frame lock.
Lil native is a favorite of mine, but do sometimes wish there was a frame lock version. I do have the techno 2 which could be argued is similar, but it’s much heavier than the sleek g10 lil native.
The carbon fiber suru has similar feeling texture to the g10 here. Grip is great. I like the lock. they should release a marbled carbon fiber updated version.
If you like the stout feeling of the thicker blade/length of the lil native, you may like the suru if you want a frame lock, bearings and flipper. The 2oz weight is also amazing, for the minimalist crowd, it carries great.
