Respectful Question on an Interesting Topic

Given the exponential population growth over the last century (and current highest historical population), how is it possible eveyone currently here has had multiple lives. It seems the premise for multiple lives would have its roots in there being a finite number of these souls cycling back and forth. With this theory, a solid explanation for population growth could stem from greater longevity (while reincarnates continue to rebirth). But stats also show a bigger piece is of population growth is the birth rate increase, too - not is staying at a status quo. How can there be more births than souls cycling back. Not at all trying to be an asshole; Iam having trouble making the math math. Very intringuing and compelling theory.

Vyvanse in Water MOA

My issue: Vyvanse worked great until the generic came out which is what my insurance will cover. My doctor suggested opening the capsule and adding to water since the capsule is not there for any 'release' reason - it's just the container. I tried that and I did see feel some improvement but nothing like the 'real' stuff. I now wonder if generic use different fillers/binders in the powder itself and if further crushing could help. NOT ASKING FOR MEDICAL ADVICE. Rather, if you have tried the water method after further crushing of the capsules contents, what was your experience. If you would never try it, why? Thanks so much.

Very Curious but ULTRA Stupid

Interested in possibly getting a scanner primarily because our news hardly covers 5% of what's going on in the community. I've read a little, watched a couple of YouTube videos and feel dumber at every turn. I went to RadioReference to find out the type of frequency my city uses and all I found was a requirement to become a member. I live in a larger suburb of Dallas and don't want to buy something that won't work due to the type of frequency they use. I've googled DMR/P25 scanners assuming the size of the city might dictate use of these and the Uniden SDS100/200 both rise to the top for ease of use (I won't be up for programming anything - again, ultra-stupid). Would this seem accurate? They are kind of expensive, I don't want to get something too hard to use OR close to too irrelevant to be meaningful. I appreciate any guidance. Talk to me like I'm a 3 year old - I will be far from offended!

Toning Wisdom

Love this coin including the colorful toning. My concern is had this naturally occurred over a period of time or been helped along the way. On the obverse, the outlines of the toning seem to have been caused by tape or placement in an album or something of that nature. While not symmetrically encircledl, it lends to its credibility. Also on the legit ledger, the toning travels organically front to back. And of course, it’s not a multi colored coins that seem almost tie dyed -not anything that obvious. My only concern is the blue. Of course I have legit blue toned coins but I had a bias against those with a beautiful blue tone, too, before being calmed by persons more on top of toning tells. ld love more experienced evaluators thoughts. Thanks in advance. Appreciate your wisdom.

PCGS publishes its steady, low cross-over rate (30-40%) which I attributed for years to people sending in junk slabs. However, after sending in both encaps for crossover and 'crack-outs' for raw grading I am not so sure.

I've only sent NGC and (non-blue) ANACS for cross with lower than 50% success (crossing at same grade) which was shocking to me. Conversely, I've 'freed' many coins - mostly IGC, ANACS, and a few no-name slabs - and have either received the identical grade OR a grade/detail consistent with what I thought (+/- points here and there). No surprises.

Also, I find it annoying that you pay $40+ for evaluation for cross and if it doesn't cross, you get no information involving this evaluation. Did you see a detail? Did you feel it was overgraded? If I sent it in raw, I would have gotten that info; why not when returning in its original slab?

Why would this be the case? Why wouldn't they want to cross? Then the conflict of interest emerged: By having a 30-40% crossover rate, they are saying that 60-70% of other TPGS slabs have incorrectly graded slabs which upholds the tenet they are (a/the) premier grading service.

Although this seems like a unilateral racket, I'm really more curious than bitter, lol. Would love others' perspectives.

Attached is a pic of the reverse of an 1822 Capped Bust half dollar. Starting between the T and A in "States" is what appears te br corrosion 'leaking' down to a point near the eagle's beak. They weird aspect is it doesn't impact lettering or the banner, just the field. Its as though it is flowing underneath the letters and banner. Just curious what this might be or what would have caused this. Appreciate any help!
