Moving from Dubai to Romania for a Master’s, work and possibly starting a family — what are the real pros and cons?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently living in Dubai, UAE, and I’m seriously considering moving to Romania.
My plan is to move there to study for a Master’s in IT, find a job afterwards, and potentially build my life and family there if everything works out.
One of the main reasons I’m considering Romania is that I’m looking for a different lifestyle. Dubai is exciting and has many opportunities, but I feel that life here can be very fast-paced, busy and stressful. I’m looking for somewhere that feels calmer and more balanced, while still giving me opportunities to study, work and build a future.
I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people who currently live in Romania or have lived there for several years.
A few things I’d particularly like to know:
\- What are the biggest advantages and disadvantages of living in Romania?
\- Is life actually calmer and less stressful compared with Dubai?
\- What is the realistic monthly cost of living for one person, including rent, food and bills?
\- How difficult is it to find an IT job as a foreigner after graduating with a Master’s?
\- Is Romanian necessary for finding a good job, or can you manage mainly with English?
\- How difficult is it to make friends and integrate as a foreigner?
\- How safe do you generally feel living there?
\- Is Romania a good place to settle down and eventually start a family?
\- Which city would you recommend for someone who wants a balance between career opportunities, university life and a quieter lifestyle?
\- If you moved to Romania from another country, what was the biggest culture shock?
\- What do you miss most about your previous country?
\- What do you appreciate most about Romania?
\- What is something about Romania that you think foreigners often misunderstand?
\- Most importantly, if you were in my position today, would you make the move?
I’m especially interested in honest answers — not just “Romania is great” or “Romania is bad.” I’d like to hear about the reality, including the things that may be difficult or frustrating.
Thanks!
