Is there a secret formula to sleeping through the night or is it just developmental/random?

Over the past few months I’ve really tried to optimize my son’s sleep. He’s now 6 months and we’ve paid for a sleep consultant to help us sleep train & also paid for dreamie through Reddit. It’s gotten better with us learning to extend wake windows and push bedtime later, but I’m just wondering if I pull all the right levers does that get him sleeping through the night? Or am I just putting him in the best position to, but it’s just random and we are waiting for him to develop those skills?

For example, if I put him to sleep independently and he hits all his wake windows and nap times and gets his proper hours of wake time. Does that equal him sleeping through the night? Or do I need to lower my expectations and live with 1-2 wakes a night?

Is my new 6m schedule working?

I recently paid for a sleep training plan from dreamie.rest and they told me our 6m old needed longer wake windows and more daytime wake time.

So starting on the 10th he started getting 10+H of daytime wake time and his wake windows have been around 2.5/2.5/2.75/2.75 with 3 naps totaling around 2.5-3H.

We’ve pushed bedtime later and so far we’ve had mixed results. The first two nights he slept for 7.5 hour stretches but these last two nights he’s gone back to waking up after 4H then again after 3H.

The positives have been that each night he’s gone to sleep on his own for bedtime under 10M.

So are the last two nights just variables? Or do i need to tweak my schedule even more?

6m old - starting to regress?

We sleep trained our son at 5 months and he was doing pretty well at putting himself to sleep at night.

But lately we’ve been having to go in and help settle him multiple nights in a row (with one night of him falling asleep on his own in 4 min)

I can’t figure out what we should be doing wake window wise. We’ve switched him down to 3 naps about 10 days ago and we are trying to stretch his wake windows.

He’s currently at 2:15/2:15/2:30/2:30

Should they be longer than that? Is he not tired enough going into bed?

6 month sleep schedule advice

Our recently 6 month old baby has had some decent stretches followed by some 4.5h stretches at night.

It’s been about a week since we’ve a) dropped the 4th nap and b) stopped trying to save naps.

He’s getting about 2.5-3H of naps a day (long nap 1, medium nap 2, catnap 3)

His wake windows are on average 2:15/2:20/2:30/2:30

Do I need to start stretching his wake windows longer?
