After Bonnaroo 2026

I have so many feelings. So much release. I didn’t have space to really let go for a couple years. To put everything down for a few days and be really, truly present. To laugh and to dance. To move and sweat. To hug. To kiss. To notice my body and to forget about my body all at once. To be a part of a crowd and something bigger than me. To feel safe. To feel wild. To feel free.

I have so many highlights of this weekend I want to remember so here’s a list
Going to buc-ees 5x and trying everything
Hearing about my dads special interest RVs for a lot of our downtime
Crying while walking all the way across the festival because I had been holding in too much
My wife forgoing Rufus (her most wanted to see set) to take care of me at camp when my body felt unsafe and needed rest and comfort
Then my dad coming out of the camper and saying he was in there watching the livestream and eating cereal
Dancing and laughing at Weird Al with my dad and wife
Seeing so many artists I didn’t really know and getting to “find the vibe”
Seeing artists again at Roo that are now on bigger stages (Alabama Shakes, Skrillex)
Staying up till sunrise and then rushing back to camp to cuddle
Calling everything Roo for the weekend- SpookyRoo, RainaRoo, MuddyRoo, etc
Meeting my dad’s vendor friends and hearing stories about how kind and fun he is. Years long connections.
Having matching bracelets with him
Drinking 10 lemonades in 4 days (and figuring out the ratio in centeroo needs to be 2 lemons)
Walking the pride parade and kissing in the dance circle at the fountain
Then following it right to DJ Trixie!!!
Remembering how important it is to DO things with the people you love
