Joining a new device without an existing Apple device

So I am starting an ABM account for a local non-profit and my options for adding a new iPad are using a "Customer Number", which I have no idea how to find, or using the Apple Configurator app which isn't possible because I run Linux PCs and Android phone/tablets. I had assumed I would just login the new device using my ABM admin login, which obviously was wrong, but now I am stumped on how to add this. Do I really need to track down another Apple device to start adding the one iPad I want added ABM, or is there some method I am unaware of to add this to the account?

**Update**

I managed to link the guest purchase to my ABM admin account and then when you view the invoice it magically contains a customer number. No customer number on the invoice/receipt in my email from the original purchase. I originally had to purchase this as a "Guest" because the Apple Store would not let me create an account using my Spectrum mobile number (technically they are VOIP). The email used in the "Guest" purchase was my other email on the same domain. Submitted it and now they denied it because:

We received your request to add Apple Customer Number ******* to your Apple Business organization. Menominee Animal Shelter. We are unable to confirm that the Apple Customer Number you submitted belongs to your organization, or it is already associated with another organization

Of course the email says "contact us" which is linked to, of all things, the ABM guide. No contact form, phone number, chat link, etc. Contact us by reading a guide that is of no help........ WTF APPLE! Probably the worst idea I ever had was trying to use ABM for our organization.

Best way to move from VPS-A to VPS-B

I originally had my Pangolin instance running on a Hetzner VPS in Finland, couldn't find a US based VPS cheap at the time. Worked decent but a few months ago I finally got tired of the lag from the long round trip my connections took and moved my setup to Lumadock. When I did that I tried the Pangolin Backup tool someone had recommended to another user asking the same question awhile back. It's here on Github in case anyone else wants to try it. This kind of worked, but I had to go into the Public Resources and re-add the IP addresses or redo the Newt connection. Can't remember which, but I had to redo something. Wasn't a big hassle, but I thought there had to be a better way. Most Linux software can be installed on another machine, then you simply copy the config file, restart the service, and you're up and running. With a Docker it doesn't seem to be that simple. One of the many reasons I am so slow to use it unless absolutely necessary.

I am not happy at all with Lumadock so I managed to get a US based VPS back with Hetzner. This time I tried the Docker export command instead of the backup tool I used before. It created an export file and then I sent the export file from my old VPS to my new one. When I imported the Docker file everything appeared to be fine, all my Resources where there, the Newt connection was online, it all seemed good, except it refused to use LetsEncrypt certificates and kept using the default Traefik self-signed cert. While I was researching the problem the Docker image seemed to reset itself back to a fresh install of Pangolin and wanted the install token. This may have been due to me installing Pangolin on the new VPS in preparation for using the original backup tool but then decided to import the container expecting it to overwrite the existing one. I am going to test the import with no containers installed on the new VPS when I get a chance. But I wanted to see if there was some other way to move Docker containers, or backup a Pangolin install without having to reconfigure anything afterwards like I had to in my first VPS move.

Engine swap from 99' Burb to 98' SIlverado

I have a 99' Suburban k1500 with 221k on the 5.7L/4L60E. It ran good, just one day it failed to start. Well, it starts and runs for a second and then dies. No security light. I had already bought a 98' Silverado k1500 off one of my tenants and was planning on using it as a parts vehicle until that happened. Glad I had a running spare GMT400 that's for sure. The Silverado has 316k on it and it shows. The tranny slips, the motor is tired to say the least. Runs good when it is cold and only when its cold. After it warms up its 0-60 in 5 minutes. Plus it has a concerning metallic clanking noise somewhere low and far back on the engine, hard to tell if its coming from the engine or flexplate/converter area. Only makes the sound when accelerating or if I start/idle it parked facing up hill (goes away after a minute when parked, always does it accelerating).

Anyway, I already need to park the truck for at least a weekend and redo brake, fuel lines, tie rods, power steering, etc. Since I have access to a full shop with lift I considered pulling the motor/trans from my Suburban and dropping them into the truck. Before anyone asks, I considered just getting the Suburban running again, but the frame and body are in much worse shape than the truck even though it's lower mileage. If I just keep the existing computer in the truck, is there anything I need to do other than hook everything up? Will I need to do a distributor relearn or anything like that?
