Do I need all that power?

I'm looking to buy my first Ebike but cannot decide on what bike.

You need as much power as possible seems to be what I constantly hear from riding mates who already have ebikes (Bosch CX and Avinox) but I have found a bike that is a killer price, very good components and long travel like I want the reason I'm cautious is 85nm Shimano EP801 motor and 712w battery.

I live in western Australia, we don't have mountains we have slight bumps in the surface so I will not be doing long climbs with huge elevation, more so short but steep climbs to get to the top of DH trails I enjoy riding rather than pushing the bike up. Probably 30-50km ride days.

Have previously ridden a Shimano equipped Norco Sight 85nm/600w battery and that ran out of battery before mates Amflow did and also rode a Specialised Levo carbon in Tasmania. Both bikes I enjoyed riding and felt had enough power.

Am I overthinking this? Should I just get the EP801 bike with spec I like or will I be unhappy and regret not buying a 120nm Bosch or Avinox bike?

Bit of ammo testing today

I've been shooting modified bench rest (stock rifle, bipod, rear bag) for the last year or so very casually just having a bit of fun.

I have pretty much always used Norma Match ammo and it has always been very hit & miss (pardon the pun) so this week I picked up a few different brands and headed to the range.

Norma Match 22 $14au 50pk (as a control)

SK rifle yellow $17au 50pk

SK pistol green $17au 50pk

Lapua Centre X $35au 50pk

Lapua Long Range $32au 50pk

Perfect morning for testing as there was zero wind so no changes were made to rifle at all just load 5 rounds and see what happens. Range is 50m.

I was pleased by how well the Lapua centreX shot and after some adjustments I went on to shoot a detail of 192/200 I usually shoot about 180-186/200. The extra expense may be worth it.

Best GoPro angle? (In your opinion)

What camera angle looks best when replaying footage of riding? Helmet, visor, chin, chest, bars?

I see lots of posts both on Reddit and FB referring to different roles available in America and I was kinda curious what each role cover (tech, body guy, jobber, adjuster etc)

In Aus it's pretty straight forward in shops:

Estimator- quotes and prices job and hours to present to insurance company for approval. Some places the estimator will also receive or sign in vehicles when they arrive at a shop.

Panel Beater - strips, repairs and refits painted parts

Spray Painter - primes, preps, spray paints and polishes vehicle though sometimes these roles are split across multiple people.

Detailer/washer - gives vehicles a quick wash before customer picks them up. This person also the one who usually goes around emptying bins etc.

Big shops may have a parts person whose job it is to check parts off when delivered by supplier to make sure are correct as ordered and not damaged.
