Need laptop advice for AI & ML / Engineering College (Budget ~1 Lakh)

Hey guys, I'm heading into college/engineering with a focus on AI & ML branches. I'm looking for a solid laptop that will handle all my coding, development, and deep learning workloads throughout college and hopefully into my first job. I don't care about gaming at all.

Based on my research, here is the exact checklist of specifications I am looking for:

  1. GPU: Dedicated NVIDIA RTX card with 8GB VRAM (Must be NVIDIA because AMD/Intel graphics don't support CUDA frameworks required for deep learning).

  2. Processor: Intel Core i7 / Ultra 7 (or high-end AMD equivalent like Ryzen 7).

  3. RAM: 16GB or 32GB DDR5.

  4. Storage: 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD (Avoid 512GB since datasets and IDEs fill it up fast).

  5. Display: High-quality IPS or OLED screen (good color accuracy for long coding hours).

Strict Hard Filters:

❌ NO MacBooks – Lacks NVIDIA CUDA support and can create software/lab tool compatibility issues in college.

❌ NO "thin-and-light" NPU-only laptops – An NPU cannot actively train machine learning models.

❌ NO RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 – At a ₹1 Lakh budget, settling for less than an RTX 4060 (8GB) is a downgrade.

To the seniors or grads in AI/ML branches: What exact laptop models are you currently using? What are the best options in the Indian market right now around the ₹1 Lakh mark that give great performance without looking like a flashy, neon gaming machine?

Thanks in advance!
