23 days of wearing and a lot of major & minor signs

I’ve had my ring for 23 days and I have had at least 4-5 separate days of major signs, and 2 of minor.

Is this just the ring getting used to me? Should I be concerned? I haven’t come down sick with a cold or a flu, but more often than not I feel generally run down.

Today I’m showing major signs with an elevated resting heart rate, body temp and respiratory rate, and lowered hrv

A good deed I did for someone has resulted in a completely unexpected gift of a $5000 brand new LV handbag. I’ve never owned a designer label and am not really sure how to look after it. Yes it’s real, it came with a gift receipt for exchange which I wont be doing. I strongly contemplated refusing the gift but I know it would be extremely insulting to their culture.

  1. I feel like people will think im wearing a fake bag. While i dont think i present myself poorly, my style is not the polished look that matches the bag. I always put value on my clothes, choosing local, handmade over fast fashion - but that doesn’t necessarily translate to the style of the bag. For example, I happily rock a genuine leather, Australian made bag every day that I saved for a while to buy (although no where near the same ballpark) … but you would not know who it’s by or even if it’s real. I have never been one to put value in brands. I buy for quality that will last me seasons, without sending me broke.

  2. How do I care for it? Do I scotch guard it (lol). Is the gold hardware actually real? I feel like I should save it for special occasions but others are telling me to use it daily so the gift giver sees my appreciation. Obviously I keep its box and dust bag … I’ve never kept a box for anything in my life. I just dont know what to do with it!

  3. On the flip side of people thinking it’s fake, I feel uncomfortable with people thinking it’s real. I have a tricky position with work where I do not earn a high income, but manage to present myself in a way that people often think I’m a lot better off - not by spending above my means, just by presenting my home and personal style. It’s a family business, and with this economy we are really struggling, but people often think it’s a high earning business, and I feel really uncomfortable with people thinking a 5k bag is normal. I don’t expect my engagement ring to cost that much.

I did briefly entertain the idea of exchanging it for something more subtle and “me”, but I after a browse online, nothing really jumped out so I feel like I’d be better keeping its “classic look”, knowing that it was specifically picked for me, and I’ll never own something like this again. Unless my life takes a drastic change in the next decade or two (unlikely)
