Trying to not buy baked goods from the supermarket as they're either expensive or mediocre. Can't pipe for shit but these lemon squares are tasty as hell!

Recipe from https://www.butterbeready.com/lemon-sheet-cake/ and lemon curd from Barkers. Probs didn't need the cream cheese icing as the curd was thicc enough but my partner wanted it and I aim to please ☺️

Off to the freezer, and next will be pineapple upside down cake!

Our girl Casca loooves cats and is so disappointed when strange kitties on walks don't want to be her friend haha. At least our tabby (RIP) and two birmans love her too :)

Teenie tinie 9mo papillon friend is with us for another 4 weeks 😁 She's like a little Energizer bunny when we're out, little legs working hard AF to keep up with the collies' normal strides 🥹 They collies come home and chill but also ready for more action anytime. Pap cutie comes home and is completely done, sometimes too tired to even eat 😅

On a lemon kick rn (but also I bought a ton of them!). This was probs one of the best things I've made lately and the recipe was a simple stock, lemon juice and cream sauce added to cooked pasta and air-fried flaked salmon mixed in 😊 Added chopped baby spinach at the end.

I've had a tabby (who passed last year), and currently own 2 other cats (a blue point and a red point birman). They're all represented forever on my Kindle case and I'm very happy!

Love my pressure cooker so much - 8mins of cooking time once the cooker's reached high pressure, can't beat that! Should have started the meatballs earlier lol, took much longer to add all the seasonings and greens and pan-fry but very tasty dinner on a cold night 🙂

We paid a friend to take some pictures for us as we regretted not having any nice pictures of our first tabby cat. Highly recommend if you don't have the equipment and more importantly, the skills to capture memories like these 🥹

We're puppy-sitting this lil cutie for the next 6 weeks. My 8yo b&w girl loves her 🥰 6yo red boy is neutral at home and on walks but need to hit an enclosed space where they can play chase and then he'll love her 😁

My partner loves a good pullapart loaf but the supermarket ones are pretty subpar imo. So ofc for his 43rd birthday, I made him 4 batches of scrolls: cinnamon brioche (left too long in the oven), caramelised onion and cheese brioche, pesto and tasty cheese, and pizza scrolls with pepperoni slices. It's just the two of us so our freezer is pretty stocked up now lol. And of course, cake! Made a chocolate mousse cake for the first time and so stoked with how it turned out! Used a recipe with gelatin as I wanted to freeze slices so our fatasses didn't eat a whole cake over 3 days :)

His stick-like legs are sending me 😂
