About Enigma’s name (E Lucevan Le Stelle Spoilers)

ok so solely because of Enigma I decided to try to look into cryptography. and frankly I’m currently too stupid to do it rn but on another note after reading a few posts I have some speculation on the title ”Enigma” but idk if anyone already said this
the Enigma machine was used by the Germans in WWII, and if I’m remembering right, the way it worked was that as you made the message, it would change the encryption key used mid message for extra security (slightly irrelevant detail)
im pretty sure the machine in his I1 outfit on the shoulder of his coat is supposed to be the Enigma machine(?), which is pretty cool cuz like. he’s a cryptographer. and German.
more importantly I think the time period of the Enigma machine’s use is important since it was created during WWII, the period when E Lucevan Le Stelle happens. This is both the time where Greta dies and the Hofmann Knot is created to brave the Storm, both of which is obviously very important to Adler and probably thus the nickname
(well that, and he’s just constantly shut in his office which makes him an “Enigma”)
