would a post-mortem dissection of an australopithecus be an autopsy or necropsy?

autopsy refers to humans while necropsy refers to animals/non-humans

australopithecus is not in genus homo, so would a post-mortem dissection to determine the cause of death performed on one be an autopsy or necropsy?

Why are LGBTQ+ (and especially trans) people such a big problem?

LGBTQ+ and (especially) trans people have been very villainized in these past few years and it confuses me. I've noticed this globally (and even across both sides of the political spectrum, and within the LGBTQ+ community itself!), but I'm referring to the USA in my post, however responses from all over the world are welcome and encouraged! :)

I think there are better and more important things to focus on politically, such as combating homelessness, repairing/creating infrastructure, determining how tax money is being spent and who is paying them and how fair said taxing is, providing better education, supporting veterans, etc.

So why are LGBTQ+/trans people the issue of the day instead of more applicable (and, in my opinion anyway, more important) problems? What makes this topic the thing more worth investing energy in than those other things; why is this deserving of extreme measures from the government and society (restricting rights at best, murders at worst) and not the other things?

Sources and relevant information:

EDIT: Thank you all for the great responses! I think a term a lot of you are looking for is deadcatting.

EDIT 2: I've noticed a lot of people, especially conservatives/those against trans/LGBTQ+ people, are not answering my question and are instead sharing their opinions on this topic, which is not what I am asking for. This isn't about whether you do or don't like LGBTQ+ people, my post is asking why this is a bigger problem than the other problems I listed. It's fine to share that, but if you do that, please answer my topic about why this problem is bigger than homelessness, education, etc. That is what my post is asking. Please stay on-topic so I and other people looking for an answer will find one :)

(I don't know the attitude of the admins, but I know trans people can be especially taboo in political discussion subreddits, so I would like to clarify that this fits within the "Political Philosophy/Science (Liberty, Justice, Rights, Laws, Authority)" category, as my question pertains to civil rights for LGBTQ/trans people and allowing citizens to express liberty by identifying how they want and marry who they want. I have not seen any limitations on discussing this topic. Sorry if it comes off as accusatory, I just want to check all my bases :) )

wifi connection keeps dropping and is slow despite it being fine earlier; the fix i previously used doesn’t work

computer: Legion Slim 5 16AHP9

OS build: 19045.6466

cor edition: windows 10 home

network adapter: RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160Mhz

earlier today and last night, i had full bars and no problems. i had this problem the other day after a forced restart so i reinstalled the driver in device manager (which worked) (i opened device manager, expanded "network adapters", uninstalled RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160MHz, and restarted my computer which brought it back) but it didn't work this time. other devices have no problems connecting to the internet, just my laptop

i didn't do anything to change my computer from earlier today aside from putting it to sleep for a few hours while i took a nap

i tried installing a couple new drivers from catalog.update.microsoft.com by searching the adapter name, but the only one that will connect to the internet whatsoever is "RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160MHz version 24.40.2.527" which i'm pretty sure is the driver i started out with in the first place. and yes i selected all windows 10 drivers to download. i also have tried forgetting the wifi network and rejoining it several times under different circumstances which has not helped

when i right click the wifi symbol in the bottom right of the taskbar and go to "troubleshoot problems" and select wi-fi (checking "all network adapters" it seems to think i'm trying to connect to another computer for some reason. checking "local area connection" wants me to use an ethernet cable which i don't have) it says "troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".

going to settings > troubleshoot > get up and running > internet connections, it says "troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem" and troubleshooting to network adapter, it's just the same thing as when i run it through my taskbar

lenovo vantage says everything is up to date and system insights did not help and the hardware scan didn't suggest anything was wrong. i tried to do a hardware scan via the lenovo website on both microsoft edge and firefox but they're stuck loading. i tried the lenovo article for this problem but it’s only done nothing or make things worse. im very lucky i have been diligent with making restore points

i've run virus scans via both malwarebytes and windows defender and nothing is showing up

i really don’t know what i can do from here :( should i take it in to tech repair? many thanks to anyone who can help <3 <3
