First DIY landscaping project. Took 3 hours with my bare hands. $150 total cost.

Joking aside. I'm very sore right now 😅

My young son and I had some good bonding time/character building.
3 days to get it done, around $2k for materials and rentals. Patio furniture is used off facebook marketplace for like $200 I think. Recliner chairs were used and free.

  1. mowed down to dirt
  2. dug up existing path and pit and saved that for later.
  3. weedguard and plastic edging down
  4. 8 tons of crush and run and 2 tons of 3/8 quartzite dropped on the front driveway
  5. back and forth shoveling into the pickup truck and dumping in the back.
  6. my best attempt at grading 🤞, running compactor over it (had a drain in the middle of the grass area already)
  7. spread the old path gravel and compact that
  8. spread and sweep the quartzite trying to get even coverage.
  9. bricks and stepping stones and stuff

It rains a lot here so... hoping things hold up well. gotta pay that DIY tax...

What do you think? Suggestions to improve or anything I should really fix that I did wrong? ❤️

Yamaha P-143 with LED midi setup

I wanted to be able to get real-time Audio from my computer DAW as well as the LED feedback for the keys.

I definitely ran into some hiccups during this project, but I'm happy with the result. I can give more details on the specifics if anyone is trying to do the same :)

M/31/6' [215 > 195 = 20lb lost](14 months) lifting and calorie tracking worked for me

After my 4th child was born last year I really just needed to get back some discipline and consistency with SOMETHING. I'm so excited about these results but more-so the mental benefits of lifting and disciplining myself with food which usually is a coping mechanism.
I've always had a lot of density but never pushed myself this much before.

To all my busy dads out there, let's get it!

routine is 3x a week full body lift. basic dynamic barbell stuff. And 2-3x a week running/swimming/HIIT.

Tracking calories helped a ton to not leave it up to guesswork how my body composition was changing. Few months in I dialed in my TDEE and found what works as a deficit but still lets me slowly increase weight in the gym. But yeah tracking can be annoying and isn't always necessary to reach goals!!

DEXA scan says 12%BF and apparently really dense bones ☠️
