I’m 1 day post op and he put an ace wrap around me to “keep the cheeks together”. I like having the support but what i’m VERY worried about is when I inevitably have to go to bathroom. It feels like the wrap ends just above my anus which makes me nervous. He purposely didn’t give me a stool softener I guess in the hopes that I wouldn’t have to for the next 5 days before the first dressing change. What’s everyone else’s experience like?

I’m not a fan of hospitals and i’m just a very anxious person in general. If anyone has any reassuring stories or experiences regarding this surgery please tell me about them. I’m so nervous about the recovery and the drain and not being able to sit. I am definitely the kind of person that if there is something to worry about, I will not only worry, but also let it consume me. Any tips help!

I just recently started doing studies on prolific and I guess I'm a bit camera shy despite it being run by AI. I think if i have a better understanding of what to expect, I'll be less nervous to do my first one. Any info/ advice is appreciated!!

I’m a disabled person with a lot of time on my hands so i’m wondering how I can get the most out of this to be able to contribute to my household instead of feeling like a burden all the time. Any tips are appreciated :)

I (26F) am considering going to a residential treatment facility with the main focus being on OCD and depression. I have no substance abuse issues so that's not something I need to factor in. I'm in the Chicagoland area but honestly I would travel anywhere if needed. Any recommendations?
