How do you push through the fatigue on days where you don’t have a choice?

Due to some stuff with my family, i’ll need to be awake for a couple of hours on monday at a time where im normally asleep. It’s extremely difficult for me to just deal with being tired, as im sure you all know too well. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I can go back to sleep after the 2 hours luckily. I’m just feeling extra frustrated today with my chronic fatigue. I envy the people who can step up when they’re needed even if they’ve barely slept.

Sciatica coming back after surgery

I had a L5-S1 microdiscectomy in October of last year and it immediately got rid of my sciatic pain. I still deal with back pain every now and then and my lower back absolutely cannot be touched with pressure otherwise I get a sharp pain, but it’s much better than where I was a year ago.

However, the last week i’ve noticed that when i’m bending forward even just slightly, I have that all too familiar shooting pain down my right leg. I’m so scared I reherniated my disc and that it’s just gonna get worse and worse like last time. I already struggle with so many other medical issues and mental health issues I don’t think I can do this again. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do to help it? Any advice would be appreciated so so much

Does anyone have a video for pressure dressing changes post cleft lift?

i’m 6 days post op and saw my doctor yesterday where he took out the drain, undid and redressed the gauze the tape. He showed my mom how to do this but i’m worried she doesn’t remember it well enough. we did audio record it but if anyone has a video, that would be very helpful. I know surgeons have different ways of doing it but anything to get a general idea would help her. Thank you!

Post cleft lift surgery question

I’m 1 day post op and he put an ace wrap around me to “keep the cheeks together”. I like having the support but what i’m VERY worried about is when I inevitably have to go to bathroom. It feels like the wrap ends just above my anus which makes me nervous. He purposely didn’t give me a stool softener I guess in the hopes that I wouldn’t have to for the next 5 days before the first dressing change. What’s everyone else’s experience like?

Cleft lift surgery tomorrow- so anxious!

I’m not a fan of hospitals and i’m just a very anxious person in general. If anyone has any reassuring stories or experiences regarding this surgery please tell me about them. I’m so nervous about the recovery and the drain and not being able to sit. I am definitely the kind of person that if there is something to worry about, I will not only worry, but also let it consume me. Any tips help!

I haven't done a study with my camera or mic yet. What is it like?

I just recently started doing studies on prolific and I guess I'm a bit camera shy despite it being run by AI. I think if i have a better understanding of what to expect, I'll be less nervous to do my first one. Any info/ advice is appreciated!!

Just got off the waitlist and am finally starting. Any advice?

I’m a disabled person with a lot of time on my hands so i’m wondering how I can get the most out of this to be able to contribute to my household instead of feeling like a burden all the time. Any tips are appreciated :)

I (26F) am considering going to a residential treatment facility with the main focus being on OCD and depression. I have no substance abuse issues so that's not something I need to factor in. I'm in the Chicagoland area but honestly I would travel anywhere if needed. Any recommendations?
