This is your casual reminder that LHP spaces are filled with all sorts

There was a discussion about a specific author yesterday.

One thing that struck me as odd was the hope that everyone is politically similarly alligned in the community.

LHP has no dogma and stresses the importance of self-reliace, personal choice and thought. It is empowering to the marginalized, but it is also empowering to the wannabe cult leaders and people into some really messed up stuff.

It is why rule 8 is so important - keep your practice private and don't naively believe that just because someone has the same faith as you, they'll carry the same core values as you. Some people are the kind that you wouldn't want to meet twice.

Another thing that's worthy a consideration - when two people from opposite sides work with the same spirits, spirits will similarly uplift both people. It is always worth remembering that the forces that we work with are bigger than humanity, as otherwise one can run into a serious crisis of faith with "my spirits would never support X", or "are definitely against Y".

Similarly, when bad people fall, it is not because the spirits have led them there, or that the spirits have abandoned them, but because their own unbalanced thinking was incompatible with society at large. It is worth remembering that a) you are not as powerless to enact change when it comes to assholes as you think and that b) you can be misstreated and oppressed for things that make you different and spirituality is not really a catch all safety net against life.

Weekly discussion - UPG associations that don't fit the norm

Do you have any unverified personal gnosis associations for spirits that seemingly don't fit their historical or astrological context at all? This can range from merging two spirits into one that other people normally don't (X is actually the same as Y!), to seeing spirits as popular culture celebrities, to rather unusual offerings that work for you.

So share your associations that normally don't fit what the spirit is described as and let's see if anyone else ended up associating the same things to the same spirit by sheer coinsidence :)

The odd, niche issue of religious proselization in Infinity Nikki

This is an odd one - there is at least one very dedicated player that is spreading the same message of Jesus through all avenues that is seemingly evading bans.

There is also quite a bit of support behind that message from other people.

This and some other side happenings in IN communities makes me think that the best I can do is to go "please guys, in case you want to follow this example, there is a time and a place for religious messaging and IN is not it. It doesn't land as a well meaning intention.".

Weekly discussion - adapting to circumstance

Life is such that likely everyone will have to make an adaptation to their practice of some kind based on health, political events, global changes, or the chaos of day to day life.

So here's a very broad topic - I would like to know what kind of changes you had to make to your practice and how you overcame the obstacles that you faced, no matter this obstacle was not being able to follow through with a specific action, availability of ingredients that you wanted, or anything else that you have encountered.

The flipside of over-personification - "the spirit would never do that"

I see this odd thing with people putting specific spirits on a pedestal, as if because a spirit is X or Y it is above this or that. It irks me as my own Patron tends to be a reliable target for others doubts when it comes to ritual reports.

Spirituality interfaces through you. Who you are and what you need will play largely into the minutia of your spirituality.

For some, spirituality is the grandness of really complex goals.

For others, it is the little details of every day life.

For many, it is a mix of both.

Sure, it is not a good idea to get lost in imagination, play, personification and the drama that your mind can create.

But you would also be surprised how much imagination and play can enter effective spirituality that still performs the goals and the definition of what effective spirituality is and can be.

So there is absolutely a spectrum of what is a productive and an unproductive experience. "I live in my head where I create families with my spirits and make many babies" is an unproductive experience as it does nothing to actually further your life. But between that and "I work for great in-depth philosophical realizations and material results" there is a wide spectrum.

So, sure, there are a lot of sentences that can appear out of context that will seem rather imaginative and immature.

Anything from "I invite my spirits to watch movies with me", to "I sleep with my spirits", to "my spirit spoons me at night", to "I have a collection of stuffed animals that I have named after my spirits and infused them with my spirits as if they're a living altar".

However, with a sentence alone it would be very hard to determine where on the spectrum of an effective spiritual practice does a person actually land, as you don't quite know who is behind the monitor.

As for "spirit X would absolutely not do this"? Oh they absolutely would. All of them. Why? Because that's what you need to be able to interface with spirituality with the brain that you have and the kind of person that you are.

And really, when you can discard the element of self-cringe, if you are NOT normally into the kind of mundane use of spirituality, sometimes stepping off the high horse and bringing in play and imagination into your practice as a way to see if it can teach your something new can be a productive experiment.

So, everything in moderation. Both personification, but also judgement too.

I wish we could buy NPC outfits

That's it. That's the post. It would be an easy money-maker for Infold, considering that the outfit already exists (especially if we're talking about NPCs similarly built to Nikki) and we could cosplay them till our heart's content.

Bored? I made a lil styling challenge to do while waiting for 2.8 Golden Dust patch!

There are some weird combinations possible, like "Shroomy Mushroom", but in general, I tested it and it seems to be fun to style. :P

Feel free to drop your stylings in the comment section down below :)

What to expect when joining the content creator program

So, it's kind of taboo to talk about it, so hopefully Infold doesn't remember that Reddit exists and I'll try to be vague about it:

Current expansion is very careful, from the looks of it, so expect to be screened and expect there to be a probationary period.

There is a... Social media place in which we all congregate in, the tone is positive leaning. We had dramas before (personal apologies to any other creators reading this), we're trying to avoid it now.

Part of the rewards are... Frequency based, part of the rewards are performance and competition based. The more views you bring, the higher the rewards... But that ALSO depends on other creators not getting more views than you.*

*if you're a small creator that can still pass the minimum view threshhold on your chosen platforms, you can get some nice compensation for very frequent posting. During some patch cycles that very frequent posting was about... 2 posts per day. If you're a longform creator, streamer, or someone that doesn't have multiple social media accounts, that reward is much harder to lean on (program gets tweaks and changes, so it might be easier in the future).

Part of the program's promissed benefits at the moment are locked behind being a mega huge creator. In other words, early access is not for 99% of all creators in the program. Don't expect to get it unless you are a social media superstar. It also has a separate application form (so it's a program within a program) that only recruits when there are spaces available.

Overall, if your primary content is already IN, this could be a good way for you to receive some extra in game currency for content that you're already creating.

--------

Please don't screenshot this post. I will likely pull it down in half a day or so, depending on my levels of paranoia about it.

Weekly discussion - how do you introduce demonolatry to others and when?

Practical discussions are good sometimes. Demonolaters are a niche group and most of us are not hermits, as such, sometimes in life there comes up a time to introduce your spirituality to others.

"In what circumstance would you do this and how would you approach the subject?" is this week's discussion.

For example, some would introduce the spirituality to their significant other in vague terms, some would share it with a larger community in a far more open way, while others keep it under lock and key permanently, so, I think, all answers here are important and valuable :)

Weekly discussion - one niche book

This week you get to be the hipster that knew about it before it was cool!

There are so many written works in the world. And we connect to our spirituality through unusual pathways sometimes. So be it fiction, or be it historical text, what is one, largely unknown, book in the demonolatry community that helped you with your practice and how did it help you?

Sometimes these works will allign with the exact topic at hand (demonolatry), but don't be afraid to share books that have nothing to do with demonolatry, but explore an interesting point of view, history behind Gods, or anything similar that you have then integrated into your spiritual practice, as this is the precise topic to do so in!

I meandered.... And the whole patch still took 18 minutes to complete

I timed it and recorded it. I've heard that it's bad, but I didn't know that it was THIS bad. I tried all mini games, I read some Nikki's letters and it STILL took me 18 minutes. Currently I'm standing in a sea of fireworks while my heartstrings collect themselves.

https://preview.redd.it/qv3b883bi79h1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=be92353fe62a7d0bea969eca7b7615e0b6de3032

Look, honeys, Infold, if you want to just sell more banners, like, say so, no need to prettend that you made a patch.

To all the people saying that all of 1.X was like this - no. It was actually never this bad. The most content sparse patches that I remember are 1.1 and 1.4. 1.1's story is a permanent adition and takes a bit over an hour to complete. And while we were going stir crazy in 1.4, because that thing lasted for over 36 days, it was still solid 3 hours of content and a whole long Momo dungeon to boot.

18 minutes of content is not a patch. In fact going "we need more time, here's a banner, we're working on next story" would have felt better.

Weekly discussion - one pro and one con

Thought it might be fun to discuss the good and the bad when it comes to the practice of demonolatry. So what is one pro and one con that you noticed when it comes to your individual practice compared to other systems and other practices?

Weekly discussion - the most minimalist you've ever went with a practice?

It's summer where I am and that means that heat is not very conductive to intensive, extensive and long winded work. As such, I thought it would be interesting in what flippant gestures, or hurried works still got you results. Not as a way to learn from it and decide what to emulate, but as a well meaning and amusing discussion.

Spreading the information about the Timeless Melody change to Youtube 🫡

I fear that we're a bit isolated here on Reddit. If anyone has an Instagram, an X account, a Facebook account, or anything similar, make sure that you post about it there too!

For the cleavage that got censored, here's the cleavage that's still here!

The first picture is of Timeless Melody final evolution pre-censorship (yup, I'm one of those people that got to enjoy my prescious new version of the dress for a bit less than 2 days T_T).

The second picture is currently running 4 star whose cleavage is more cleavage'y than the Timeless Melody's cleavage before the fix.

The other two are sets that I made and was playing around with in the current and previous patch.

All of them more cleavage'y than Timeless Melody.

Nikki has breasts. Adult women have breasts. Why is Infold suddenly kowtowing to a small minority of highly paying puritans?

So I'm joining the free the titty committee. Let Nikki be Nikki. Don't project what women already have to deal with in real life unto our escapist dress up game.
