Still trying to decide which company to make the captain. I’m pretty pleased with how the librarian is coming along, too. For the glowing inscription armor effect: I did a base coat of AP’s Ultramarine Blue air paint through the air brush, then panel lined the inscriptions with white ink, then shot it all over with AP Magic Blue speedpaint from the airbrush.
Captain has the DWK Shield and tabard, Ravenwing bike sword, Azrael’s helmet, and Azmodai’s incense burner/power pack exhaust.
I built up the Librarian’s base for a bit more of a dynamic angle.
Speeder has various Ravenwing bits, pieces from the DA upgrade sprues, and the DA-specific heavy weapons.
Vanguard vets are a mix of Ravenwing melee and other various DA/space marine bits. I need to strip and re-prime the fur brown vanguard as the rattle can seems to have been defective and it gave it an odd texture.
I’m most happy with the captain though.
So many challenges working with an old metal sculpt, but I really enjoyed painting him. I’ll likely go back and finish the text at some point, but for now I’m calling him done.
