Heel snap practice

This one feels unique to me. Yes, there’s one-footed pivots, which these are, but then there’s flicks (unofficially). I’m working on flicking my planted foot’s heel in just a quarter-beat and bringing it back to forward-facing.

I want this move in my arsenal for when I get serious about snapping with an anchor, for the sake of musicality. Any constructive criticism and/or questions are welcome!

My lowest matrix, then up and into a corkscrew jump

Kennedy said AAEEEEHHHHH 😛

Been patiently waiting to work on this one since I tore my meniscus in July last year. Still working out some kinks, like momentum management (concrete makes flat-footed spins difficult to keep going, it’s better on hardwood), straight back, better foot placement, etc., but I got anxious and ambitious to do it and decided to give it a shot!

Luckily, my guy Eddie was recording from the side, but took a live photo first and switched to video while I was down in the matrix, so that’s the skip.

I’m a 5’2” 29M, wondering how to improve my wardrobe in the least expensive ways possible

(The pics get older as you swipe)

Most of my life has been about me trying to find the right clothes to suit my height (and thighs) while catering to the environment of like-minded people I’ve been around, but when I got out of college in 2019, I stopped caring as much about how I looked in OTHERS’ eyes, and started dressing for how I think I like to look, while still making comfort top priority. However, being 29 and now single for the last two years after breaking off a three-year engagement and a six-month rebound back in 2024, I’ve been thinking about getting back out there. The thing is that if women (that I have yet to meet) look my way, I feel it’s in negative judgment of my height, hair (I can’t seem to get away from the low-fade and side-part or middle part), or my outfits most times, and while I still mainly only care about how I like my outfits, I still want to have some better level of appeal to women than I do.

Some personal background: Most of my free time is spent around the more culturally rich, skate-party side of the roller skating world. As a result, most of my wardrobe is streetwear (plain loose shorts, different denim pants, loose and tight basic t-shirts, hoodies, vans, nike dunks, nike running shoes, etc.), because I get my blood moving pretty easy resulting in overheating under anymore than one layer while skating.

Knowing this, are my outfits at least not taking away from my appeal? If they are, how can I style myself better while keeping in mind the economy, my hobby and the scene it comes with, and what my wardrobe already comprises at this point?

I have a small (<10 pieces) selection of sweaters, a rather large selection of button-ups but they are all either flannel or business-dressy, I have a few slacks, a few different color corduroy pants, a few athletic pants/sweats, a selection of denim (loose flower-design denims, baggy but ankle-cinched black cargo denims, straight legged black and navy green denims, and some basic blue jeans) that I like to wear when skating or even just out and about.

Does my wardrobe do me justice? If not, how can it?

No, I (29M) don’t think I have powers. But I do wonder about the dreams I have, and I always have. Every once in a while, since I was a kid, I wake up after deep dreams of being able to fly or have telekinetic powers. Euphoric, immersive, complex, intricate, plot-driven dreams.

They’re all mostly unique, but all contain the same themes; superpowers are revealed in a time of relaxation yet desire for purpose and a distant antagonist that I must face in some way (fighting or not), because it’s my responsibility now.

Does anyone else have these sorts of dreams? If so, what periods in your life do you associate them with or what kind of times in your life do have them? What are your experiences?
