feedback for my first watercolor after a while

about six years ago i had a very brief watercolor phase, and even though i enjoyed it, i kinda just stopped until very recently. this is my first piece back and i used a scene from the movie Past Lives as my reference (in the second slide).

originally i planned to not use ink for this, but once i was okay with how i put the color down, i felt like using ink on top would make every element translate better and i’m pretty sure i was right. i understand this is a stylistic choice but eventually i want to be able to just use watercolor and not have ink as my safety net which does seem a lot trickier. the separation of forms is definitely one thing i struggle with.

what did i do well here, what could have been done better, anything at all that you notice? any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks!
